We loved this place so much on our trip to Colonial Williamsburg for Thanksgiving that we made a point to stop on our way home. "Food Court" does not do justice to the terrific menu and attentive service. And the beautiful art by West Virginia artists and craftsmen is breathtaking. A must-do if you are traveling near Beckley. Really.

A Taste of West Virginia is a compliment to the fine arts and crafts at Tamarack. Come hungry for a buffet style of dining. Excellent ambience and service.

We have eaten here countless times, bit it was the 1st time we walked about disappointed. The wife ordered Hickory Smoked Pork BBQ dinner plate. First the portion size was 1/2 what she normally gets. Second the meat was tough, dry and what little bit of sauce was cloyingly sweet. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie which I usually love.... More

We found that the food lived up to the reviews we received. Food was hot and very flavorful. There was a nice variety of options. The pecan peach bread pudding was to die for!

All of the food is good and they have wonderful WV items for sale-you may even get to see someone make something by hand and they have a Green-bier shop and a WVU shop and a lot of interesting items

Food is cafeteria style and is very good. Fried green tomatoes are tasty. A little pricey but worth the experience.

I had a beef meatloaf type meal with an amazing taste. It was very unique. If I had to describe the taste I would say that it was almost like a sweet and sour oriental tasting meatloaf. Very tasty. The beans with mushrooms were great too. Very good meal!

Tamarack is my go to place when in Beckley. My parents used to live there and Dad and I would go every Sunday after Church. Love the sautéed green beans with mushrooms, although they can be a little peppery at times. Fried green tomatoes and sautéed greens with onions are usually on my plate. Becoz it is associated with the... More

I have eaten here several times over the last 10 years, usually because of a group meeting. The food is average quality but the prices are high for a cafeteria style restaurant. The atmosphere is like a food court. There are far better options in Beckley.
