I live in the neighborhood so I stop in the Wheelhouse fairly regularly for a sandwich. I remember years ago when they first opened beside the toy shop! The food is always perfect- I have never had an order come out wrong, and it's really delicious. The service is great, too- the ladies behind the counter are always very friendly,... More

With walls covered with nautical artifacts, artwork and photos, The Wheelhouse reinforces its theme. The staff was very attentive and the food delicious. There's a large selection of biscuits, breakfast sandwiches, and hot beverages.

The Wheelhouse is a wonderful lunch spot to get tasty homemade soup and homemade sandwiches. The soup choice changes every day as do the daily specials. Very reasonably priced and historic nautical decor.

We were driving back to Dallas for the winter overnighting in Charleston and we're looking for a spot to have lunch. We soon found that our favorite places were closed on Monday. Fortunately, we came upon the Wheelhouse located in a small shopping center in the South Hills area. This is a very non pretentious, casual place that offers soups, sandwiches, salads and... More

Wheelhouse is a good lunch choice. They offer daily specials and everything is a homemade treat! Many locals regularly lunch here, which is always a good sign.

No matter your taste for sandwiches, salads and soups, they have it for you. The service is great. The staff is pleasant. The meal is outstanding. They are serving breakfast now and I can't wait to try those meals. A great place to grab a lunch.

Went to Wheelhouse for lunch before a little shopping with a friend. My husband and I both ordered a sandwich, chips, pickle and drink for less than $20. The sandwich was filling and piled high. I highly suggest it!

Stopped in after the lunch rush. Each of us ordered a different sandwich. All were very good and my daughter especially enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich so much she wouldn't share.

I stopped by The Wheelhouse with family and friends today in South Hills, Charleston, WV and had a really nice lunch. It was open on Monday when the other restaurants in the neighborhood are closed. I think the atmosphere is great. Since there is no alcohol, the waitstaff are all high school kids. They seem energetic and competent. It is... More
