The margaritas were not good tasting like sweet and sour mix. The waitress admitted they used a mix which should have been our first clue not to order a drink. The food was not appealing and the chicken was dry. I enjoyed my baked potato...the most. I ordered a gluten-free meal yet my stomach hurt all night. I would not returnMore

We like to try different and local food when we are out and about. Saw this place listed on Trip Advisor with good reviews and weren't disappointed. There is 3 hour street parking in front of the place. It is in an old victorian house....We ordered the Arepa/empanada and cachapa combination which comes with black beans and rice. The arepa is a grilled white corn meal pocket, the empanadas is a fried corn mill pocket and the cachapa is a sweet corn pancake. All are stuffed with your choice of meat. The portions for lunch and dinner are the same with salad and soup added for dinner. Our waitress was so nice and attentive, explaining the different items. Be sure to stop here when you are in Elkins!More

Empanada & arepa were really good. Cachapa was the highlight of our meal. Good service, nice atmosphere, social distancing enforced, a great dinner experience all around! And two of us walked away stuffed for less than $30.

Excellent service and fantastic food. We were passing through Elkins and decided to stop at El Gran Sabor for lunch. I’m glad we did! I’ve never had authentic Venezuelan food and it was outstanding. I’d highly recommend if you’re in the area!

My mom and I wanted to stop by for a quick lunch with outside dining in a beautiful day. El Gran Sabor did not disappoint. We enjoyed the number 4 lunch special . Cachapa with chicken and black beans and rice was fantastic. It is...made with a sweet corn cake which is similar to a taco or burrito but much better. Staff was friendly and it was a clean, safe environment.More

Great hidden gem amongst the houses near the cvs in elkins. It is a great place to catch some live music or have a nice dinner in the dining area of the establishment away from the lounge.

We were surprised to find a Venezuelan restaurant in Elkins,WV! Several people recommended it so we tried it out on a Friday evening. It was fabulous. The food was delicious and varied. Service was slow, but they were very busy and we were in no...hurry. We stayed for the live band--not our kind of music and really really loud but it was fun. The food was as good as the Venezuelan fare we had in Miami.More
