We were trying to find someplace to eat in Morgantown at 6pm on a Saturday night, and everything seemed to be closed except the chains...which we were sick of. We found Gibbie's Pub on High Street and decided to give it a try. Their special was fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. Our waiter told us it was the... More

As a WVU alumni, I always make it a point to stop by Gibbie's when in town for a football or basketball game. Gibbie's has excellent bar food and the atmosphere to get you ready for the, "Let's go, Mountaineers!". They always have a selection of TV's above the bar to choose from with any games a sports fan desires.

This is a High Street staple and still one of the best area bars for not only food, entertainment, and beer selection, but also atmosphere and never having to change much at all.

I love coming to Gibbie's when the students are gone, the menu is great and food is good, and they have a log of great beer on tap.

We traveled to Morgantown looking for the Dirty Bird which was closed for the summer, moved onto Jameson's which told us they weren't opening until 11;30 (it was 11),so we settled for Gibbie's. We were the only people in the place so our waitress was attentive. I had boneless wings in the "Gib's Buffalo" house sauce, which was good but not as... More

I had some time to kill in downtown Morgantown and I was close to Gibbie's so I thought I would stop in for a beer or two. It was 4:30pm on a Saturday... I walked up to the bar and sat down, noticing that a lot of the tap handles were craft beer from West Virginia breweries which got me... More

Traveling through Morgantown and ate here on a slow Saturday afternoon on High Street. The four of usfood.a burger, turkey sandwich and Reubens. Everyone enjoyed their sandwich and especially the hand cut French Fries. A good place to stop for pub food.

Service with a smile, always an enjoyable experience. Good food selection, personable service. Lunch is awesome and the atmosphere is relaxing. Night life is good with bands sometimes and two bars. Booths and seating for your meal or drinks. If you go alone or with friends, you always find others to enjoy your time spent at Gibbies. This is a... More

As long as they aren't charging a cover this is a nice place for a cheap drink. I've never had any of their food.

This is a very cool bar with a lot of history linked to it with a the cinema next door and a "secret passageway/tunnel". It was strange to try to get one of the staff to discuss it which added even more to the allure of the place.
