The food was good and the portion size was hefty but so was the check. It was as pricey as going to a steakhouse for just home cooked food. I enjoyed the porkchops and my husband had the chopped steak and fries. The rolls were good. We were stuffed but had to take a slice of cake to go since... More

I love Diehl's! It was my Grandmother's favorite restaurant and now it's one of my favorite places to eat with my boyfriend. Everything is made from scratch and it makes all the difference. The bread, mashed potatoes, and sage dressing are to die for. I ate carrots with last night's meal and was definitely disappointed. They needed some brown sugar... More

Diehl's has got way too expensive for home cooked food in Nitro or anywhere else . The food is decent but too expensive and I don't care to pay for good food . Their prices are more for a fine restaurant than a diner

Diehls has been at this location for many years and they have perfected "home cooking".....just like mamas. Food quality is always consistent and delicious!!

No matter what I order, I ALWAYS get a "cake" of sage dressing.... a patty, moist on the inside, and DEEP FRIED crispy goodness on the outside. the only other thing is ALWAYS order pie, and have the server bring it then..... two reasons: 1. They could run out, so you'll get yours; and 2. Jesus is coming, so I... More

My family and I go here every Sunday. The Diehl family has become like our family. They remember us and so do the wait staff. There food is great ... the prices have creeper up over the years but we still come. Can't say enough good things. Please drive out of your way to go here!!

The food is decent but the food is ridiculously expensive. None of the sandwhiches come with sides. So my hot bologna sandwhich ($7) then to add fries was $4 and to add onion rings was $5! It didnt even come with chips. Fried chicken dinner was $20. I could get a bucket of fried chicken and sides for that price... More

Stopping for a late lunch after hearing about this place from the receptionist at the doctor's office, I really enjoyed the flavors of a West Virginia home cooking. I had the pork chops and my husband had the country fried steak. His meal was from heaven for this WV man. Green beans, mashed potatoes and cornbread made his meal complete.... More
