Very good food; the lobster was great. Excellent fish fry. Top shelf bourbons. Lovely historic place, from the Italian tile floor to the mahogany bar.

We used to love this beautiful resturant! Came from out of town specifically to eat at this place. The bartender had to read a recipe to make a moscow mule, and told us she hadn't bartended in months, very un professional, on to the waitress who was probably the worst we've every had, she would disappear for 20 minutes at... Had lunch, including stuffed lobster roll for very reasonable price. Nice menu, with evening offerings appearing to be quite ambitious. Take time to read historical info on menu. It will make you appreciate to decor, which dates back over 100 years.

What a beautiful setting for a dinner with long time friends. Our dinners were so good. My salmon was cooked perfectly with a delicious asparagus risotto. It came with a salad and house made parmesan peppercorn dressing. Great hot bread with butter and roasted garlic rounded out the meal. A definite thumbs up from me.

Local tavern with a fine dining fare. Historical atmosphere is fantastic. great place to take clients or pamper that special someone to a more elaborate dinner. Food is delicious, however menu choices and accompanying prices seem to be met for the traveler and not the local patronage. If you are just going for beers or cocktails, or if you are... More

It had been a number of years since we visited, under previous ownership we vowed not to return. Had a reservation for three on a Saturday night we were seated right away and greeted in a warm manner. Our server greeted us and took our drink orders. The wine selection is moderate and an OK selection. We enjoyed the menu... More

Arrived at 5:30. Made us sit at a high table in the bar which my husband or 81 yr old mom didn't enjoy. I did ask for a regular lower table but they said all taken or reserved. My food was ok, hubby didn't like fish fry and my Mom liked her fish a lot. Waiter was very pleasant and... More

Just walking in the building with all the preserved historic beauty on display is a treat. Food is delicious and creative. Lunches are reasonably priced. Dinners, while rather pricey, are absolutely scrumptious! Four of us from our family dined there recently and did a "round robin" with the meal, so it was like eating 4 different dinners. Each one was... More

Love walking through the front door of BJ's and feeling like you're walking back in time. The decor is so comfortable, the back bar is beautiful, and the selection of wine was impressive. We had some delicious snacks and a very enjoyable visit.
