This is a nice Italian restaurant with a relaxed, hometown atmosphere. The prices and quantities are good. Takeout is available. Menu items include pizza, ravioli, cavatelli, spaghetti and combo platters. Be prepared to wait on busy nights, as this is a popular spot! Your patience will be worth it. Open Wednesday-Sunday evenings

I thought the cheese and raisin ravioli sounded weird. Well, let me tell you it is wonderful! We first went to this place about 23 years ago and it was good. We go when ever we are in the area and it is open! We love the pasta, and of course the cheese and raisin ravioli! The salads are just... More

Just had a wonderful time at a birthday party there was a little bit of wait to be seated due to a large party before us but once we were seated it didn't take them long at all to get us our dinner. They even sang happy birthday and gave the little guy some ice cream. Excellent place for a... More

The food is delicious, service is great, you won't go away hungry I enjoy the fact that I can get white sauce on my ravoli instead of tomato sauce

Our summer get away is in a small town about 75 miles east of the Twin Cities in Cumberland WI. Cumberland is called the Island City because it is surrounded by Beaver Dam Lake. It's a very quaint little town. When we don't want to cook, we take in the local restaurants for dinner. Bona Casa is a medium sized... More

My husband and I both ordered the small Half and Half plate of 3 chicken/cheese and 3 cheese/raisin. We chose the pepper jack cheese sauce after sampling the red sauce which tasted like tomato paste. The dinner came with a salad, breadsticks and we chose the sausage. The sausage was very good. However, we cannot say as much for the... More

As someone who takes Italian food/culture seriously I am embarrassed by this place. "Bona (Buona) Casa" plays into every stereotype ever thrown at Italy as a bunch of pasta/pizza eaters...period. The food is unimaginative...kind of "paste like" one might say...and wouldn't you think that after all these years they could spell "cavatelli" properly?? Some may accuse me of snobbism, but... I recently found myself in Wisconsin this last weekend (No, I hate the Packers) visiting some friends and they told us we just HAD to try this amazing Italian restaurant they always go to when they are back home. Since this place is a small town in the middle of Wisconsin, I didn’t have high expectations. As we pull up... More

Is made from Campbell's tomato soup and tomato paste. I love Italian food and have tasted dishes from other restaurants and all I can say bona casa's red sauce is the most bland / tasteless sauce I have ever had. Along with my meal I had their meat ball and Italian sausage, both were as dull as the rest of... More

I hate to give a family run business such a poor review, but the rave reviews are misleading. The dining room was VERY casual; almost cafeteria-like. The salad consisted of iceberg lettuce and mine was partially brown and swimming in dressing. Every dinner plate on the table looked the same: white plate piled with white pasta covered in red or...
