This restaurant is right on the lake and has a beautiful view/setting with typical lodge type décor. The menu has a nice variety of items ranging from steaks and seafood to sandwiches. The steak that I ordered was inedible and I think was spoiled, but they apologized and promptly made me a new one. All the other items and drinks... More

The food here is fine but not outstanding. The view is special here and there is a very nice lounge area.

We were anxious to try this super club because it came so highly recommended. When we called to make reservations we were told Sat. night they have their prime rib special. The waitress didn't know what we were talking about when some of us tried ordering prime rib--no big deal, we ordered something else from the limited menu. The entrees... More

We arrived just a dinner was starting to be served and got a window table and enjoyed the boat traffic down below. The menu is extremely limited, but if our filet dinners were any indication, what they do they do extremely well! Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Warm rolls in a basket, good salad and steaks cooked to perfection.

Was looking for an inexpensive quick stop for lunch while boating and this was the place. Burgers, brats, hot dogs and chicken sandwiches were all under $6. Chips for $1 and they had draft beer for $2.50 or soda out of a vending machine. Quick service and food was hit off grill. Just what we needed.

We Have been going to Eagle River for 30 years and the best view of the river is from the classic Northwoods bar at the Chanticleer. With one of the Old Fashioneds made by Karl, you can watch the boats and the sunset over the river with a view that is beyond compare anywhere in the world. The homemade cheese... More

The atmosphere can't be beat, but the Bloody Mary and kiddie cocktail were uninspired. Service was fine, but not as friendly as one would expect in this fun, casual vacation city.

We had hoped to dine outdoors but it is for drinking only. We were able to snag a table indoors with a great view and we enjoyed watching all the boats go by. Nice atmosphere in dining room. The menu was more limited than I remember from 10 years ago and the choices were pretty standard for the north woods.... More

Went for a Friday business lunch in July, the busiest season. Menu selection was slim. The rib sandwich was the sort you find at the golden arches and the bun was of the same genre. No actual ribs or rib meat could be identified in the pre-formed meat-like patty. The burger and bratwurst (obligatory on Wisconsin menus) ordered by others... More

I like the place in every season. I can't put my finger on it. The bar is comfortable and the dinning room. The food has been good over the years and the new chief is good. I just feel at home here. I especially like the duckling.
