I stopped in for breakfast. I haven't been here for 40 years. The coffee is the best. I had an omelet which was ok. The biscuits and gravy was so-so. The service was ok. I had to ask for a refill on my coffee. This is definitely a popular breakfast spot for the over 70 crowd.
Classic feel and typical diner foods. We had steak and eggs and they were pretty good. The waitress checked on us frequently and recommended for breakfast and brunch.
I was looking forward to a wonderful breakfast on my visit back to the area. Excited for my son to enjoy a Wisconsin meal, high in the comfort food factor. Schreiner's Restaurant is a welcomed oasis from your travels. Located at the intersection of HWY 41 and HWY 23 it easy to find when you exit. You can't miss the sign when you turn into HWY 23 also named Johnson St. What babes Schreiner's so welcomed to dine at is the fact that it is not a fast food restaurant.... More
This is a good place for breakfast to dinner. It is a popular place for the elderly, but younger people also frequent it. It's great for your classic meals. The food is good, and it has very family style atmosphere.
My favorite breakfast here is the Red, White and Blue waffle. Strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream. They don't "cheat" you on the toppings. It's super good! Their quiche's are very good too. Their baked products are fresh and tasty. We like going here for lunch a lot as they do have a great menu for main dishes such as beef... More
