We try to stop by every time we visit the north woods. Everything is delicious, fresh, and local, from the wood fired pizza and gelato in summer to the lamb, eggs and lettuce they raise right there on the farm. They also make good strong coffee and have fun events, highly recommended!!

Almost everything they serve is produced right there on the farm. It doesn't get much better than that. Homemade gelato is amazing and even a small grocery area with farm fresh groceries. Great place to get whole unprocessed non GMO foods that are grown locally. Yay! Also good service and in a nice setting. A must visit if in the... More

We had an amazing time at the pizza farm at Farmstead Creamery. We were very impressed with their sustainability model - the food tasted fresh and flavorful while being good for the planet as well as the animals raised on their farm. They were lovely hosts - they treated us like family and we enjoyed learning about the family history... More

We saw that they advertised wood fired pizzas, and decided to try it. Easy to find, although it is about. 20 miles from Hayward. Went on a Saturday night, which meant they also had live music. Ordered our pizzas (kinda expensive $20) from a wide selection available. All had fresh ingredients grown at the farm. Sat outside to listen to... More

Seen the brochure for this little place at our campground and since it wasn't that far away, decided to try it. So glad we did! It's in the middle of nowhere and is quiet and peaceful. It was around 2pm but they were still offering omelets and lunch items. I opted for just the Gelato...which was awesome...and my husband ordered... More

This working farm cafe is located about 20 minutes east of Hayward, Wisconsin and might best be described as a developing dream-in-progress. Owners are clearly committed to implementing a sustainable cuisine with a developing community/arts environment. The cafe is small- seats about 8 on the first floor and about 20 tightly above on a second level. On a nice summer... More

A family run farm and country food operation offering fresh milk, meats, sandwiches, ice cream, and incredibly friendly people behind the counter. And it's a real farm, no Jimmy Dean farm print needed to see the fields and animals that produced what you are eating.

It took us a while to find it. Place was nice and people super nice. We ordered 2 large and 2 small gelatoes and came to 36$ !!!!!! How did they came out with that number I have no idea..... It was made of sheeps milk, but still...There were no prices displayed, now I know why. It was good, but... More

Thank you for your response. Your order also included some meat that you purchased, as well as the gelato. I'd be happy to look up the price breakout for you, if that is helpful. Small gelatos are $4, large $7. Thank you! More

I would highly recommend taking the drive out to this wonderful cáfe! Don't forget, they're close on Mondays. Also, don't forget to try their delicious coconut truffles?
