Service excellent. Both young ladies came by with water refills & inquired about our needs. Moist cheeseburgers + yummy onion petals & banana creme pie to go. Cold beer with friendly faces.

Joe Rouer's is a lot like the traditional old-time Wisconsin neighborhood/country bar and grill I remember from my youth; nothing fancy but nice. Big burgers, very tasty, I especially like that you can get fried onions. Also had a cup of pea soup which was pretty good. Service was good too. I live about 30 miles away, but hope to make it back soon.

A couple of miles off 57, a medium sized clean, modern (for a country bar) restaurant and bar.
The burgers are not huge so consider adding a hot dog to your order. If you consider yourself a burger expert, this place is required. A little bit different but really good.

The burgers are so yummy. We live over and hour away and have drive here multiple times for lunch. We also enjoy the stuff tater tots things.

Looking for a burger, so visited the place we’d heard about for years but never found ourselves in the neighborhood. So glad we did! Suddenly this place doesn’t seem so out of the way - we will be back! Friendly servers and patrons, too.

This is a great little burger place. Chili is delicious. Fast service. Nothing fancy but the prices are good and so are the burgers

A very nice cafe in the beautiful countryside. Very friendly staff. Food was tasty and prices very reasonable. We had chili, cheesehamburger and onion petals. All really good. Portions are plenty. I also tried Lilienkugels Oktoberfest beer. Really good on tap. If you are in the area, give it a try.

Love these burgers! Sprechers root beer on tap and the best poppy seed torte ever. Nothing fancy, but the food is well worth the drive.

Been coming here since I was a child. Recipe stays the same and its delish!!!!Cheeseburger, chili, and cheese curds for the family to share. LOVE THIS PLACE

Stopped here on our drive from the Fox Valley up to Door County and weren't disappointed. Lots of greasy goodness. Great service. Eat in the bar or enjoy views out the big windows in the dining room. One odd thing that wasn't an issue or anything was they served my husband and I from one plate -- I got a single with Wisconsin cheese curds and he got the double with fries and it was all on one plate. Make sure to lean forward over the table and use all the napkins they give you because the burgers are crazy juicy.

On our way up to Door County, to visit family and friends, I always want to stop at Joe's. The burgers are the best!!!!! Joe R staff has always been friendly and welcoming. Also, the fast service and attentive bartender make this my "go to
place " to stop on every trip. Family-friendly, fantastic food, good people. My kind of place to feel at.home. When I had my Lab, Stella" we could sit outside at a picnic table so she could get out and join us.
We used to drive up/or back on Sundays to visit and found they were closed on Sundays. Since then, we take that into consideration when picking out our travel dates!

When I first moved to the Green Bay Area over 35 years ago, the first thing my coworkers did was take me to Joe Rouer's for a burger. Been going back ever since.
Joe's is a quiet country bar that has served the community for a long, long time. The people are nice and the staff always friendly.
This isn't some restaurant with an extensive menu. Don't come here for fancy or eclectic. This is basically a tavern that happens to serve great burgers and homemade soups, booyah, and chili. Stick to these, and you'll have a fabulous experience.
I've read some of the reviews posted earlier by "visitors" to the area who are obviously expected five star dining at an out of the way country bar. FOOLS!
Stop in for a great burger in a relaxed, laid back atmosphere.
For anything else, keep driving up to the Door County tourist traps 😉

After reading the rave reviews, we were excited about checking this joint out. We were sorely disappointed. The server was absolutely terrible. She committed a major no-no for any waitperson by telling us immediately that she was new – as if that would excuse her bad service. She knew nothing – about anything. Not the beer and not the food. It’s one of the smallest menus I’ve ever seen so it should have been pretty darn easy to learn. Our order took almost 45 minutes and every time we asked about it, the waitress would tell us it was coming right up. We all ordered burgers and it was just a large, flat thin burger with cheese and optional onions. The french fries were just french fries. Totally unimpressed.

known for burgers around the community, we decided to make a stop. limited menu but not much more you could want. Greasy, cheesy, and delicious at a great price. we will be back!
