It's a great place to have drinks at the bar with friends. Fish fry was ok. Out of what my friend had ordered. Salad bar was what we went for but was disappointing. The restaurant is pretty. It wouldn't take much to be a lot better. The wait staff and bartender are awesome.

We arrived for dinner at 5 pm, and started to head to the bar. As we got chased down by the impolite hostess telling us we need to register for a table because they will be getting busy! ( I noticed 4 tables were being used and many more available). When we finished our drinks we asked for a table, across from the salad bar. Did not care for the table and asked to be moved. The hostess asked "WHY" ? She begruling moved us to another table for 2. The waitress arrived to take our order, but we never had gotten a menu!? She apologized and got us the menus. Ordered our meals and requested soup prior to the meal. She forgot the soup & apologized. The salad bar was fresh and well tended to by a young boy. The fish was nothing to write home about. Perch was dry & twice baked potato were pasty and tasteless. The stuffed did was ok. The wild rice was very bland and was missing some flavor. We are new to the area and will think twice before going back.

We came to try Northbrook‘s golf course and were pleasantly surprised by the fine conditions. But we were blown away to learn that our $34 “nine and dine” rate included nine holes of golf, the cart, AND any entree from the restaurant. They really mean “any“ entree: I had the $23 tenderloin dinner and my wife chose the Saturday special $24 prime rib dinner. Both were delicious, as was the beef barley soup du jour. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive from the uniformly young and energetic staff. All in all, an affordable and enjoyable afternoon. We almost slept over to witness Packer Sunday with 24 ounce $5 Packer Punch and free shots at every touchdown. Go Northbrook Go!!!

What started out as wishful thinking - of an evening having drinks before a dinner - turned out to be the worst experience. We registered with the rude "Hostess" and sat at a table in the bar area. My husband asked at the bar to see a menu while we waited only to be told they didn't have any. We then asked the Hostess for one - when she had a minute - as she was walking by to seat others. She promptly replied that we could get one at the bar and when we replied that we already had asked for one there, she hastily threw one on our table and walked away. After waiting 1 HOUR AND 20 MINUTES, we asked the bartender to take our order as we were STILL waiting. One would think that this would be her cue to be sure our order was submitted promptly so we could be served. ANOTHER 40 MINUTES passed and we STILL did not have our meal. TWO HOURS AFTER WE ARRIVED we left. The Management AND staff at this poorly run and inept bar / restaurant are in dire need of training in customer service. Save yourself frustration and go elsewhere where great customer service is of the utmost of importance.

We had our Casco High School Class of ‘59 Class Reunion at Northbrook September 21, 2019, with the new management. We were very pleased with the meal, breasted chicken and tenderloin tips were so good!! The young waitresses were awesome!!! They seemed to enjoy seeing us enjoying our time with our classmates after all these years. Being our 60th reunion, many appreciated the elevator to the dining room. We highly recommend Northbrook for group parties.

All reviews prior to 2019 no longer apply as this location has changed to new ownership and management. New owners have invested to change the look and menu of the restaurant and course. The new look & feel of this change is great.

My family went to Northbrook for the first time in quite a few years. It was nice to have double bubble at the bar before dinner. The waitstaff was very attentive. I ordered the beer battered shrimp. There were 6 shrimp along with my french fries and clam chowder soup option. That meal was good. My daughter had a bowl of clam chowder and was pleased with it as well. My husband ordered the pan fried walleye. They came out very greasy and full of bones. As my husband attempted to eat it he noted that the walleye was also undercooked (probably why it was greasy). He was very dissatisfied with it. It also did not agree with him when we got home. Needless to say if we dine there again we will not order the pan fried walleye.

Hadn't been here for brunch for years. We were seated at a window table overlooking the golf course which was very nice. Our waitress was attentive and pleasant. The variety of food was adequate. I opted for the broasted chicken which was delicious. The mashed potatoes were creamy and very tasty. I know from past visits that the dessert choices include knee caps, an area pastry that is deep fried, light as a feather and topped with whipped cream. Well worth the drive from Appleton to Luxemburg.

My wife and I had just finished golfing 9 holes on a recent Friday afternoon. We sat in the pub and watched some Fed Ex golf. Then we went upstairs to eat. On Fridays, if you golf after 2:00 pm, the price is $20.50@ for 9 holes with a cart and a coupon for $10.00 for that same day. We got a window overlooking part of the course. Service was quick and friendly. My wife had shrimp with a tasty sauce, and I had pan fried walleye. Proportions were adequate, and the price before using the coupons was reasonable. Meals were average in taste, but the whole afternoon with the golf and dinner together made for an enjoyable late afternoon.

I've golfed here for 10 years and I have always enjoyed the course. The bar downstairs is adequate and is good as well. After the new ownership, we decided to try dining upstairs again with the new chefs. There wasn't a lot of people dining, may 25 people and we waited for our for our food for an hour. Here are a few things that irritated me...my son ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, it was burnt black so we had it sent back, and again, came back burnt again. Second, my daughter ordered a plain Hamburger, then it came with cheese on so we scraped it off no big deal, but the burger was burnt and had a bad tasted to it, I I have had plenty or burgers, but this was bad! My wife asked for any fish that was baked, and our waitress said there was one, baked cod. Ok, she ordered it, with a rizzoto. Risotto was luke warm, and cod was dry, very dry, sides of fish were hard. Again have had a lot of baked cod, this was not good at all. Then we find out the specials for that night had 2 other choices for baked fish but our waitress never told us that either, not good customer service. And I ordered the perch. Being in Wisconsin that's a staple on Friday night. This perch, 2/10. Burnt, dark, crusty. Again, I've had enough perch to know good and not good and bad, this was bad. Paid $50 and I literally thought they were stealing my money. I talked to manager, he said he was sorry to hear what I had to say and thanks for the feedback. I'm not looking for anything in return but I guess part of me thought we'd get something taken off our bill. Obviously that wasn't the case, so pleasing the customer or having them enjoy their experience fell way short for me and my family. I would recommend golfing there anytime, but I would not recommend having dinner there and haven't heard from anybody else that goes there anything with rave reviews. I figured with new chefs things would have changed, obviously I was wrong. For a family, there are many other places I would recommend in Luxemburg or Casco and don't waste your money eating dinner upstairs at Northbrook.

We used to golf at Northbrook several times a year. I have to say that it's been several years since we've golfed there but had to try it in May. Used to be a very nice and well kept course. It seems that there has been a change of the guard in who is taking care of it. I've heard stories about the Restaurant and it's decline but have not eaten there. The grill on the first level could use a remodel, very outdated and old looking. The golf carts are old also but they do get you around. It's sad to think that at one time this course was really nice and well cared for. Unless they really get busy and do some extra work they will continue to lose customers.

My wife and I hadn't been here for several years and read where they were serving crab legs. My wife wanted to try them. Her crab legs were good; she got two pounds, but it's a lot of work cracking them open. I had pan fried walleye; tasty, but three small pieces. Had a bisque soup that had potential, but it was too bland for our tastes. Service was good. Waitresses and bartender were all friendly and answered any questions we had. Will try Northbrook again this summer after a round of golf. They do serve hamburgers, brats, etc. downstairs during the golf season.

The Public is welcomed here if golfing or not. We did not golf. For lunch in the downstairs Grill Room have a burger, a hot or cold sandwich or a pizza. For dinner upstairs they have daily specials and a Special Friday Night Fish menu. The main dinner menu has appetizers, soups & salads, steaks, pork and chicken dishes including very good Broasted Chicken. There is also a very large bar with flat screen TV"s to watch sports and Golf . You'll feel welcomed here.

Just got back from dinner at Northbrook The pecan crusted chicken was fabulous. Three of us had it. I had to force myself to stop eating. The menu description does not include an extra sauce but we asked the chef, Logan, if he could add one and he was happy to oblige adding an amazing mushroom wine sauce. Also had the chef special salad for $2 extra - well worth it. Mixed greens with carmelized pears, pecans, Gorgonzola cheese and a balsamic dressing. So wonderful. Logan came out to chat with us before dinner about the sauce we wanted. What a great young man. Still in culinary school but I'm sure he has an real future ahead of himself. As we were leaving, I told the hostess and bartender that when he graduates from school they should not let him go! Others in our group had the pork tenderloin and prime rib and really enjoyed their meals too. I agree the atmosphere could use some updating but I guess I still like the "supper club" setting
