Good food, the setting reminds me of an all inclusive resort. The chops and salsa are great. The fijitas are really good and come with a lot of side dishes to make your own fijita.

This was our first time visiting Abuelos, in fact we had never even heard of it. We arrived @7:45 on a Monday evening. There were a number of people waiting to be seated. However, because there were only two of us and we were more...More
I signed up for their rewards program and received the most generous coupon in my email. We made plans to go there for my birthday. It is a beautiful restaurant with delicious food. Our server was Michael, and he explained everything so well to us....More
Forgive me for my spelling, but I had Mi Abuelo's Manajar with Papas con rellenos. The creamy mashed potatoes with cheese and papers were the star. The spice profile was adequate but not overpowering for a non spice lover. The main dish was very good...More
Not too spicy, which is not a glowing recommendation for a Mexican restaurant. Well appointed room, and service was good. No complaints. We were two families of four, and they were hapy to accommodate us.
I don't like spicy foods, and have only eaten in one or two Mexican restaurants because of that. While traveling for business, my coworker and I decided to try Abuelos. I was pleasantly surprised! I enjoyed their guacamole appetizer, and their chips were really very...More
We went there last night for dinner. It is my favorite Mexican restaurant. Well, other than one in Rochester, MN and Prescott, AZ. Their chips are very light, so if you like the hard crunchy chips, you won't like these. They bring out 3 different...More
Just made it to happy hour, five minutes to 7:00. Thanks to Katie, our server, we were able to capitalize on the specials, even if it was after 7:00!! She was the best. Their happy hour menu is inclusive of a variety of tapas, excellent...More
Ok, well it wasn't frozen this trip, but Madison is usually really cold. It's odd, then, to get Mexican food with the same flavor profile I grew up with in West Texas. In fact, Abuelos was a family favorite, where we ate weekly in the...More
The only thing going for this place is the cheap happy hour drinks. Other than that, the food is overly salty with not a lot of flavor. Would try other mexican restaurants before going to this place.
