My husband and I brought friends for the Tuesday rib special. We had eaten there before and enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. We wanted to start with cocktails and an appetizer at the bar. The bartender was exceedingly rude to us and for the most part remained hidden on the other side of the bar. He did express... More

Authentic German Beer Hall right down to the tables and benches. Fun upbeat atmosphere. It's a rare place where young and old clank their steins and all join in together for a round of German songs. Great food, authentic German pretzels, brats, beer and live music. PROST!

The food here is good - though not as good as the actual Hofbrauhaus in Munich, but it's Milwaukee so I'll give them a break. We have been here twice. On our first visit the service was terrible on a Saturday evening. On the Saturday morning of our most recent visit though the service was excellent.

I was town and came here after seeing it on Andrew Zimmern's food show on the Travel channel. Cool atmosphere reminded me of beer halls I visited in Germany. I had the sausage platter which was very filling. Friendly service.

If you have never been to a German beer hall this is a must. The service was so so. Our bar tender took awhile to get drink because he was chatting with the locals.

Stopped into the Old German beer hall for much needed food and a liter of beer. We chose the light beer and it was good for what we wanted but nothing special. The bar itself was very energetic and decorated perfectly for German theme. It was very noisy though and we found ourselves shouting at each other across the table.... More

I have heard mixed reviews about this place, mostly on the "okay" side. After visiting myself, they proved reliable. The bartenders are extremely friendly, but some of the waitresses are absolutely rude and unaware of their own products (which are tasty and fairly portioned). I will try to give this establishment a second try but I would advise caution. There... More

The small portion of German potato salad and red cabbage was good, the Chops and pretzel were mediocre. The single server was a bit over worked.

Went with friends and had a great experience. My friend was just in Germany said the hall is just as you would find in Germany. My friends (one of which we have dubbed a beer snob) loved the German beers. We loved the large pretzel and cheese spread, the three sausage chili and sausages on a bun. The potato salad... More

Excellent food - Knackwurst was awesome on a roll with spicy mustard. Quick service and washed it down with a Hofbrau. Highly recommend, especially before a sporting event.
