This restaurant was originally called "The Comfort," when a German immigrant named Charles Mader opened it in 1902. It was renamed "Maders" when it relocated to a better location. Other restaurants of the era were also in business, but they have all come & gone,...More

Excellent food and atmosphere. I had the German sampler couldn’t eat it all. We also ordered the pretzel which was about 20” in diameter and the cheese tray as appetizers. Landmark German dining in Milwaukee. You won’t be disappointed!!
