When you walk in and are greeted with a food market, you have to venture into the restaurant to get the vibe that a lot of locals must like this place, because there could be a short wait. Totally worth it. Our server was a bit out of sorts, but can't let that ruin a meal! The food is good,... More

It's a deli, restaurant and small market with fresh produce. The restaurant borders on heath food with sprouts on most everything. Our lunches were healthy and organic as well as delicious. Service was prompt and waitress was immensely helpful. We enjoyed ourselves and were late launchers so we didn't feel rushed to leave.

We dallied in the attached grocery store which had some unusual items (scented soap from Provence, artsy nail clippers) and was a pleasant place to be while waiting a half-hour for a table. Once seated for lunch, the atmosphere was amiable and friendly with sunlight pouring in from windows on two walls. Their cream of tomato soup was delicious with... More

Had the sweet potato and black bean burrito without the cream sauce. Sweet potato can be hard to get right but the spice blend they use made it so, so good! Located in a cool neighborhood too.

Great food! Love the turkey Reuben. Used to love going here when I lived in Milwaukee and still love going when I visit. Great little deli and store attached.

invited here by some friends. nice restaurant that is adjoined by a small deli and convenient store. we enjoyed the lox plate - very good smoked salmon. the eggs Benedict was requested with the hollandaise sauce on the side, unfortunately someone didn't do their job as it was poured over the eggs, no worry though as it was all still... I had a quiche that was served with a small salad and fruit cup. My boyfriend had a bean burrito. He got the prize for best choice. They have multiple choices of beverages using Rizi tea. Super environment with a deli counter and store. There is a small counter also besides table service.

I am vegan but my wife is not. Thus we are always looking for good places where we both can have the food we like. We do not live in Milwaukee but almost always get to Beans and Barley every year. This time we visited for breakfast on our anniversary. We both had pancakes so we happily ate too much.... More

I went here for lunch with my daughter who is a vegetarian. They serve non vegetarian items as well. Our food was very tasty and I especially liked the gazpacho soup. It came with a delicious homemade roll. Very tasty soup! They also have a good sized deli and a store attached as well.
