Need a place to hide? The Safe House is a dining experience for the entire family. A place for spies to enjoy good food and good company. It is a rare opportunity to indulge in some real espionage and watch fellow diners on closed circuit tv as they attempt to gain entrance without the password. No one gets pass Ms.... More

We had a fun time at the safe house. I hear there is one coming to Chicago! Really hard to figure out how to get in but that's part of the shtick. Good luck!

I chose the Safe House as my birthday destination because I love the atmosphere and I wanted to see if after the remodel. This location is all about the atmosphere and spy theme, it is so much fun for celebrations. My boyfriend ordered me a sundae for my birthday and it had a giant candle in it which looked like... The drinks are very pricey and the food is okay. The atmosphere could be improved. Everything is the same over the past 20 years at least. Once you've been there, not much to see. The place seems old and run down. The cameras are cloudy and the floors are dirty. The magician is still awesome though and the phone booth... More

The Safe House is always fun and entertaining. It's been a couple years since I've been there. The food was excellent with reasonable prices. I had the MOAB burger with kettle chips and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had! Fun experience, great food and reasonable prices - what more can you ask for?

Yep, it's a bar-- but don't let that stop you from vi.siting with kids. We've had our kids' birthday parties here, and always make sure to visit when we have out of town guests. It's part museum, part spy activities, totally fun! The staff will give you a scavenger hunt to find items throughout the SafeHouse while you are waiting... More

Our whole volleyball team stopped here for lunch after a long tournament and everyone loved it. Having to know the password to get in was hilarious bc they make you act silly if you do not know the password and little do you know there is a camera on you the whoel time and everyone is watching! We had to... More

You go here for the experience, Food is pricey for what you get. I had the french dip with fries, It was okay but for what you pay it should look at taste alot better.

Fun place with a cool atmosphere. If you don't know exactly where it is it would be easily missed. In keeping with the spy theme neither the building or entrance is marked. You enter into a small room where the hostess asks for the password. If you don't know what it is she will make you pass a test to... More

OK, so maybe it's a bit corny but I just love this place. During the day it's a fantastic place to take your kids. Set up like a James Bond spy movie safe house, you have to find the entrance (in the alley) then if you don't know the password you will have to prove that your worth as an... More

In an alleyway near the river, two gas lights and an inconspicuous nameplate—with the name International Exports Ltd.—is all that mark the brick front of this establishment. However, this spy-themed restaurant and bar has been a favorite Milwaukee attraction since its creation in 1966 by founder David Baldwin.

Yes, you need the password. No, we cannot divulge it. But rest assured, as soon as you pass your fun clearance test to prove you’re a friendly operative, you will enter a spy’s nest of global espionage and entertainment!

Expect intrigue and surprises as you explore the twists and turns of the Safe House, operated by an entity known only as Control. A former jazz club, liquor store and hardware store were bought to expand the Safe House and build out a theme of international sectors. In the German Sector examine the CIA Cold War artifacts display, or make a call from our C.I.A (Crafty Instant Alibi) phone booth. Solve the riddle of the world’s largest mechanical puzzle in the Mediterranean sector. Gather your spy-ring for a brief meeting and order a Great Spytini and watch it whiz through the pneumatic tube system, arriving shaken, not stirred. After a few cocktails you may feel like you’re sinking in your chair—but don’t worry—you’re probably sitting in the lucky ejection seat at the Interpol bar. We can’t tell you much more—but keep in mind—good spies never leave the way he or she came in!

Wired Magazine calls the Safe House “one of the hippest places on the planet.” Featured on the History Channel and Food Channel, the Safe House has been visited by Rachael Ray herself! Our menu includes gourmet sandwiches and entree spycials for lunch and dinner, as well as a furtive Friday fish fry. For vegetarian operatives, Control recommends the Hail to the Caesar Salad, among many more. A full selection of cocktails, wine and beer are served in an atmosphere of family fun. Food Network’s Best Of calls it “Too much to pass up.”
