The experience of the Safe House is not necessarily the food nor even the drinks but the zany theme of the place and all the unusual happenings about. Food and drink are good, but one really needs to explore all the nooks and crannies of this odd but very fun venue. Add to the total Marcus Rewards and you have... More

Let me start off by saying how excited our party of 9 was to see the new updates made in March 2016. (we are past customers) Well, that was short lived! Upon entrance we did have to do ring around the rosie to get in. ( 5 adults 4 kids) the kids enjoyed it! However the area was tight. Once... More

The idea is great, we had so much fun finding the place and hetting trough the process of entering into the restaurant. I will not discover more, I recommend that you visit and see for yourself. The food is not spectacular, but is OK and the whole thing is an experience so it's worth visiting, even for a beer.

Speakeasy themed bar but very novelty. The interior is very nice and cleverly designed - quite beautiful and cool, actually. The process of entrance however, is kind of lame - if you don't know the password, you have to do some embarassing dance to get in. 2 of 3 bar staff were rude, non attentive, and did not manage the... Fun and charming place - good drinks - great atmosphere - cool memorabilia and decorations in spy theme all over the place - had a fun time but thought the food was over priced and very ordinary - go there for the atmosphere and fun and pretend you are a spy and have a martini (shaken, not stirred), but don't... 14 of us ALL ages from 70-3 years old. Chose to arrive at 2:45 hoping our large party could be together. Everyone at the restaurant from the Agent at the door, the manager (Super accomodating) the terrific waitstaff, and the Magician who engaged even the 3 year old in the Magic were outstanding. The service was excellent-our waitress Agent 13/14... More

The worst experience! Where to start a lazy bartender a sweating magician and a waitress that after 45 minute was going to check on our food. Keep in mind we ordered nachos. Well we got up and walked out. So I can't tell you if the food is good or not. Won't be back

This was a really unusual bar, in a good way! You enter through a secret passage after being but through a "test" to make sure you are a true spy. After you enter the spy theme is kept throughout every aspect of the bar, from decor to servers. It was a really unique experience and a must try!

This is really unique place in world. I did NOT hear that somewhere else exists this time of cafe bar. The price is good. I really like the game with password, you will get some task if you do not have a password for entry. Also is really interesting that in today world you can work without any commerce/marketing. There... More

In an alleyway near the river, two gas lights and an inconspicuous nameplate—with the name International Exports Ltd.—is all that mark the brick front of this establishment. However, this spy-themed restaurant and bar has been a favorite Milwaukee attraction since its creation in 1966 by founder David Baldwin.

Yes, you need the password. No, we cannot divulge it. But rest assured, as soon as you pass your fun clearance test to prove you’re a friendly operative, you will enter a spy’s nest of global espionage and entertainment!

Expect intrigue and surprises as you explore the twists and turns of the Safe House, operated by an entity known only as Control. A former jazz club, liquor store and hardware store were bought to expand the Safe House and build out a theme of international sectors. In the German Sector examine the CIA Cold War artifacts display, or make a call from our C.I.A (Crafty Instant Alibi) phone booth. Solve the riddle of the world’s largest mechanical puzzle in the Mediterranean sector. Gather your spy-ring for a brief meeting and order a Great Spytini and watch it whiz through the pneumatic tube system, arriving shaken, not stirred. After a few cocktails you may feel like you’re sinking in your chair—but don’t worry—you’re probably sitting in the lucky ejection seat at the Interpol bar. We can’t tell you much more—but keep in mind—good spies never leave the way he or she came in!

Wired Magazine calls the Safe House “one of the hippest places on the planet.” Featured on the History Channel and Food Channel, the Safe House has been visited by Rachael Ray herself! Our menu includes gourmet sandwiches and entree spycials for lunch and dinner, as well as a furtive Friday fish fry. For vegetarian operatives, Control recommends the Hail to the Caesar Salad, among many more. A full selection of cocktails, wine and beer are served in an atmosphere of family fun. Food Network’s Best Of calls it “Too much to pass up.”
