This used to be our “go to” restaurant, especially for breakfast. I fully understand that with COVID things are “different” and I’ve had patience with Genesis. I went two weeks ago and the server was very stressed, and made it clear to us. Never came...back for refills and I had to hunt her down for the check. She wanted to sit us in the crowded corner when most of the side was open. Today three of us went at 11am. Two had breakfast and one lunch. My French toast was “visually” cold and the glaze on it was hard. I touched it to find it room temperature and a bit cool. My sisters eggs Benedict had the cheese sauce was jelled on the top, at least the potatoes were hot. You can guess that my moms turkey and mashed potatoes were barely warm. I sent back my French toast immediately. When it returned I can tell they put in the oven, as the plate was hot and the bottom of the French toast was hot. The frosting that was already hard was now rock hard. Ugh. When I left and I was asked how things were I said “not very good.” He said that was too bad but never asked what was wrong. Not even a look up at me. Well, that’s my last time there. Sorry Genesis. It was good while it lasted.More

Although the salad bar is small it's very good, very fresh and also includes 2-3 types of soup. The specials include the salad bar which is a super good deal. The food is good/average.

Several friends and I meet for breakfast 2-3 times/month. Genesis is high on our list! The food is great with a full breakfast menu to choose from. Be sure to check out their cinnamon rolls! I am a local who spent a lot of time in this restaurant. The normal menu has just about anyhing a person could want, and you can choose to spend a little extra for unlimited soup and salad bar. My normal dinner is a strip...steak with mushrooms and onions. Earlier this year, they decided that they didn't want to fully staff the restaurant after about 10pm, so they slashed the menu. Most of the choices are unexciting, and of course the strip steak was no longer available. If you can come during the day or earlier in the evening, you will have a good experience. The staff is goofy but talented. the food is decent. The prices match the quality of the food, which is good diner fare.More

Visited here for Easter in April 2019. We had a large group, 18ppl, and it was Easter so I definitely need to visit again to sway my opinion. However, overall the place was alright. Foods pretty basic, nothing amazing, nothing deplorable. I had a cheeseburger,...it was alright. Basic cheeseburger. What helped their rating was the service, very very nice waitresses. They were super attentive and made no mistakes on our large order. For that reason alone I'll be coming back and giving it another chance.More

We stopped for lunch on burger day special. $6.99 for any burger, slaw and fries. I ordered nachos but got a taco salad in a flour shell bowl. It was a communication problem. All I wanted was them to dump the taco salad from the...flour taco bowl on top of corn chips. But they remade the order. I was very happy with that. The service was great. Burger and nachos good. We will be back.More

I ordered the orange chicken with vegetables over rice. Also with salad bar and dessert. Fiancé ordered the works burger. Everything was good. Staff was friendly and attentive. We are always happy here. I love the Thursday vegetable soup.

We've eaten breakfast here at least a dozen times. Our go-to favorite is the Greek Skillet and while toast is an after-thought for many breakfast spots, here, you'll get premium bread buttered edge-to-edge. The food is always hot and the portions are so large, we...usually take a box home. Yes, the restaurant is a little dated and you might have a wait on Sunday morning but it's still an excellent value. The Bloody Mary's are utilitarian with the celery, olive and lime garnish, but they come with a chaser and they're reasonably priced. The breakfast menu is chocked full of selections, so if the Greek Skillet is not your cup of tea, there's plenty to choose from.More

The southern chicken salads my wife and daughter had were delicious. The Mediterranean salad I had was a little too heavy on the onions. But it was still good. We showed up at lunch hour after a morning of looking at apartments. Despite the crowd,...our server was prompt (except with the bread basket - it showed up almost at the same time as our salads). She kept my coffee cup full and stopped by the table several times to make sure everything was OK.More

Biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and hash browns hit the spot. Liked all the items and the hash browns were done to perfection being nicely crisp browned, but not burned. Wife had Southwest Scrambler with eggs finished just right in sausage, onions, tomatoes, jalapeño...and cheddar cheese binding it all together with ample buttered wheat toast. Coffee was just right and was topped off frequently without having to ask for more.More
