Just fell into this place. Has the feel of the old style drive in including window trays. Servers were small kilt skirts. Service was very good, friendly, prompt and attentive. Burger was ok. Locals seems to really like the onion rings. They are large rings with a thick crunchy coating. Small ice cream cone is giant. Fun place to stop... More

I've been going to the Kiltie as long as I can remember. The carhops are as sweet as can be and the food is good. The sundaes are phenomenal. Check the hours since they used to be closed during Oconomowoc High School football games!

The drive-in restaurant is a dying breed across the country and the Kiltie in Oconomowoc is one of the few left. Sure, there are "Sonic" drive-in's, but the Kiltie would have been huge back in the 1950's-'60's. There is a reason the drive-in is dying out in the northern climates, and that reason is called "winter". So, with that in... More

Carhop type drive in. Been here many times, recently it has gone downhill. Recent visit all staff did was talk, sit on counter, and be loud. Service was poor, you could barely talk to each other because cooks inside were rowdy and girls outside were having their own party. Really disappointed as I have been coming here for years. Needs... A fun landmark in Oconomowoc to visit on a nice day. My husband and I only go for the custard, which we love. If you order the large soft serve cone, its huge! The medium is more like a large. Great place to bring your convertable for car-side service or in our case a pick up truck. It reminds me... More

You have to love car hops for service. This place gets big points for style alone. But the burgers, fries, malts and all else deserve their own applause. There is no skimping on serving sizes. The fries are probably my favorite from all places I have been. All food is made fresh to your order. Hot and tasty, and we... More

The locals referred us to this drive-in. It was just like the one my in-laws owned for many years in northern Wisconsin. A car hop takes your order and delivers it to the car. When you are ready to leave, you turn your car on and the hop quickly return to remove your window tray. What was new were the... More

Don't get me wrong, I would never eat anything but the frozen custard at The Kilti - seriously, "hot pork" or a "shrimp basket" at a drive in? But, do go for the frozen custard (unless you're an ultra-feminist, in which case you will probably be offended by the all-girls servers' short kilts.) This is a throw-back to days of... More

I've been going to Kilties since my son was a little boy. Now I take my grandson and he loves it. Wait staff still come out to the car to take your order and then they bring it to you on a tray. A tradition that dates back to the 1950's-- maybe longer. My grandson doesn't understand the tradition, but... More

This was an awful experience I will never repeat. Food was poor and being served by a girl in a short skirt was not appealing. This place is so out of touch with the 21 st century.

Thank Ogof
