Was told this place was super good so my expectations were high. Like other reviews mention, for breakfast, get here early otherwise you're going be on a waiting list...we had to wait. When we were finally seated, they put us at a table that had...a couple who were just seated.
I went for the Meat Lovers omelette. I was expecting an explosion of flavor, but got nothing out of the ordinary. Now it wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out either...flavor-wise. Maybe I just picked the average meal off the menu. Instead of a breakfast juice, I got a Coke (sorry Pepsi fans). Prices were a little high, but not too high. Small dinning are and a small parking lot. No objections to eating here again.More
Every year during the Oshkosh airshow, we make the journey from the North Forty at AirVenture through Gate 41 to the front door of La Sure's. If we're early, like 7am, we get right in and eat the best breakfast ever. If we've slept late...— maybe to 7:05? — the place is packed and the line goes out the door. The reason is three-fold: great home cooking, super-friendly but professional servers, and reasonable prices EVEN during AirVenture week. Like the swallows to Capistrano or the pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela in Spain, I'll keep coming back until I can't get to Oshkosh anymore. I've been to La Sure's a dozen times over the past decade, always for breakfast and been happy. In my mind, it can't be beat.More
Oh my! I have always LOVED La Sure's Almond cake (my favorite, hands down). I saw it was their flavor for the week, so I stopped in with my 6mo old daughter for a piece and a cup of coffee. We sat and I enjoyed...watching the lovely waitresses taking such care for their customers.
This was my first time staying in (usually I just pick up the cakes to go), and it was so delightful to experience such small town charm. I will be making more stops! :)More
We walked in and I had a Starbucks in my hand the server said I had to either pay for a cup of coffee or put it in my car, umm my thought the other option leave and find another restaurant, am I glad that...server helped me find a new place..Pilora's is our new breakfast place. Exceptional service and they had no.problrm if I wanted to being in my favorite Starbucks after all, we still order $30.00 worth of food..More
Very experienced friendly waitresses, good food and reasonable. Hubby likes the omelettes and I like mine over easy with crispy bacon. Daily specials and operates an excellent bakery making wedding and special occasion cakes. Been around a long time.
After eating at almost all of the breakfast stops in town, I finally made it here. I am glad I did.
It is a busy place, usually crowded, and a bit tight. I sat down at the counter and order the sirloin burger, eggs over...easy, rye bread, and hash browns with a side of sausage gravy.
The sirloin burger was so big it came on a separate plate, and was perfect. And, the hash browns with gravy were good, too. A darned good meal with great service.
Nice, homey atmosphere, with a lot of regulars. Hope I can be one, too!More
