We went here a few times, maybe 7. Our first time however was bad. It was dinner time and not very busy but it took 20 minutes to have someone come over and take our drink order. After that the seevice was great. The times after that were always for breakfast and service was always good. I loved everything and... More

When daily specials, like the Baked Chicken, were offered years ago, I thought nothing of driving to Osseo through a blizzard from Eau Claire to get my chicken and pie fix. The staff is still top-notch and the pies are still wonderful; I just miss my Baked (falling off the bone) Chicken. I've dined at the NNs in Rice Lake... More

Passing through around 10:30am, on a Tuesday am, I wanted to stop at the original Norske Nook. Was seated at the counter, next to the pie cases and was offered coffee right away. Enjoyed potato pancakes and a great piece of tart lingonberry sour cream pie. The Norske Nook lives up to its legend. Worth a stop.

When we got our food my biscuits and gravy were cold. Waitress said she would take care of it. When she brought it back it was warmed but not hot. The Waitress stated that they made a new plate and tossed it in the microwave. The microwave!!! Anyways as we checked out the cashier lady asked how our food was.... More

Had late lunch with a native of the area. Had turkey on cranberry, wild rice bread. Sandwhich was warm and tasty, served with side of mustard and tasting of coleslaw. No complaints, decent value. Service was polite, but a little slow; not enough to take off on the rating. Looked at the pies, they looked very good; but didn't have... More

If you love Pie, this is the place to go. Award winning pies. Friendly staff. Either go early morning or late evening. This place is always busy from mid-morning to early evening. But definitely worth the wait.

Heading home from a long weekend in the Chippewa Valley so a stop for pie was in order. Exchanging the pie tin is a family tradition going back about 30 years and there has never been a bad one. First we had to eat lunch. A big round loaf of sourdough filled with tender roast beef & mashed potatoes. Smothered... More

The Norske Nook has a delicious Friday Fish Fry. Two of our group had the fish and it was fantastic! Two of us had eggs and the homemade corned beef hash. They make the best hash we've ever had. When we were finished with dinner we took 4 pieces of pie to share with our family and they were a... More

We stopped on our way to Minnesota from the Chicago suburbs for a later lunch. I love the lefse wraps but they are so big that all I want to do after is take a nap. They let me order a child's portion which gave me room for the best part: the pie. This time I had the raspberry peach... More
