My son and I were done hunting for the day and decided we should try someplace for breakfast. Winter in door county equals not many places open. We went in to eat. The smells were great. Got a table right away. I had the Swedish pancakes with eggs and sausage. Added the America. Fries also. Everything about this meal was... More

If you look beyond the Swedish hype in their restaurant and gift shop, the food was nothing special. Of course I wanted to try the Swedish pancakes because I never had them. I was totally disappointed, they were no more than a crepe in a different shape, thin round pancake folded into quarters, they were under cooked and quite chewy.... More
You can't visit Door County without at least a visit to AL Johnson's! Service as very attentive, full menu and prices that certainly don't break the bank! And the Meals are Very Good!! Especially the Swedish Pancakes!! Go For IT!
Be prepared to wait for a table. In late October on Friday, we had a 40 minute wait for a party of three. Then again, we did not know of anywhere else to go in Sister Bay for breakfast. Food is decent but average. If you're in the boutique/gift shop, it is nearly impossible to hear names for tables being... More
This restaurant has many Swedish dishes as well as great fish and American food. In five visits everything I have had was great.
This spot has the BEST Swedish pancakes ever. Breakfast is a real treat...and be sure to include a side of Swedish meatballs. Fantastic!
We are so glad to hear you loved everything! Thank you for the 5 star review! We appreciate it and hope you will be back soon! More
What a hoot! Goats were on winter vacation when we visited, but there is an entertaining video in the lobby that gives the history of them being there, and the history of the building. Food is above average; not gourmet, but well prepared for what it is.

We noticed that he trees in front were taken down and now there is no shade for your goats when they are on the roof. We were fortunate enough to see them in the morning but when we came by later at around 1:30 they were not there and there were a bunch of disappointed people looking for them. We were wondering why the changes to the front of the building?
i got a pair of very pretty red mittens there in Sept and found out when I went to wear them now that they are too small. can I order a larger pair?
