Wow! What a great find in the Northwoods. The Cafe on Main is owned by a Bartollota trained chef from Milwaukee. You don't find that often in a cafe. He also has a trained souse chef on staff.
The menu is full of hand made...sauces and in house smoked meat.
All five of us were delighted with our choices. I went with the Big Pig Scramble. It was loaded with pulled pork, ham and bacon in scrambles eggs on a bed of crisp hash browns. Incredible!
This will be my new go-to breakfast when I am in the area.

On a recent trip to the Northwoods of Wisconsin, this became our favorite stop. After hiking the Hiawatha Trail, we were looking for a brunch spot. One of the locals suggested Cafe on Main and he was spot on. This on the main drag in...downtown Tomahawk...very quaint , not a real big dining area..but, they did try and keep everybody spread out AND all wait staff/ cooks (we could see into the kitchen) wore face masks! Our server was Shelly and she was great...she took alot of pride in her service and the food being served. The breakfast special on our first visit was blueberry French Toast. Unfortunately,...or, as it turned out, fortunatley...there were only 4 slices of the bread left and there are 3 slices per serving. We ended up ordering a serving of the special and an order of the Walnut / Caramel Sauce French Toast....Shelly assured us we would not be disappointed and she was absolutley right. My wife and I split each order and they were awesome. The Walnut/Caramel sauce French Toast was ridiculously good, as was their coffiee. It was so good we went back the next day ... eggs and omelettes this time and they were just as good....Shelly was just as personable and efficient as she was the day before.
This is an awesome little cafe with agreat service and prices are right.More
Comfortable and friendly, we had a great breakfast at Cafe on Main. The sausage and ham were exceptional. I added peppers and onions to my potatoes which was delicious. The coffee cups are big and the service is attentive.
