Staying overnight in Trempealeau on a drive down the Great River Road, we called in at the hotel for dinner and had one of the best meals of the entire trip. We chose walnut balls to start, then walleye pike in a herb crust, served with wild rice and asparagus. Lovely fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection. Superb.

We had lunch here. We shared an appetizer (can't remember the name, a Korean dish consisting of a cabbage leaf with seasoned pulled pork). Delicious! We also shared the catfish sandwich and the Irish stew. I highly recommend all of them! It was fun sitting near a window with a river view. There was a patio and a grassy area... More

We rode our bicycle on the Great River Trail and we were ready for a late lunch by the time we reached Trempealeau. The Trempealeau Hotel seemed like an iconic spot--in the business district, near the river. On a Monday in mid-September we were the only ones there. We chose a table on the porch. The menu had a couple... More

We were on a motorcycle trip in Wisconsin and decided to check this place out. We decided to have lunch and put our name on the waiting list which was to be about 20 minutes which turned into about 40 minutes while we saw there were always open tables. We attempted to order an appetizer from the bar and she... More

We dined at the Trempealeau Hotel last Saturday night. I had the meatloaf and my wife had the walnut lasagna. The bacon sauce with my meatloaf was great. The meatloaf was a bit dry, but beefy. My wife really enjoyed her lasagna. I would try their more adventurous items next time. The wine pour is generous here!

The pork chops are sourced locally, flavorful and prepared well, but I've tasted better pork chops. Service was good.

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, 2 pm-ish. Was told they were too busy to serve at the bar (hah) so took a table. Service was adequate, Moon Man Pale Ale was good, but the veggies in the fish tacos hadn't been drained - picked one up and out poured at least two teaspoons of watery sauce, soaking... More

We loved this place! The views, friendly employees and food were all top notch! This was our first time to Trempealeau biking and the recommendation to stop here was spot on. The bartender was extremely friendly and helpful when we were talking about the trails around Trempealeau and La Crosse.

We happened upon this restaurant when trying to get out of the rain. The burgers area very tasty and the server was friendly. We had a group of 8 and were given the option to wait to sit together or to be seated sooner but separately which was nice.
