Walked by this on the way back from the hilltop museum. Were drawn to the original train station across the street and then noticed the restaurant as couples started showing up for the Friday Fish Fry. Walked to our B&B for a rest and then came back for dinner. Food was just okay, have had better fish fries. They seemed... More

If you want to go some place other than the chain restaurants for breakfast on Sunday morning, Hiawatha Restaurant & Lounge serves a good breakfast. The menu is not large, but a nice selection with good food - they usually have a couple of specials, such as a quiche or variety of french toast. You also receive a free Mimosa... More

Take out or order in (though the place gets packed on Friday nights) this is my favorite fish fry in town. Its not complicated - Fish, generally potato salad or french fries and rye bread. Done.

Met some friends out for fun, band was playing outside, food was good, drinks were great. Servers were fantastic! Gave it only four stars due to food pricing.

Our uncle recommended it and it was a pleasant surprise. Hidden away from the hustle and bustle, nice and friendly atmosphere.

Adorable restaurant right by the old train depot. Our wait staff was friendly and accommodating and the restaurant was nice and clean. My husband and I ordered baked cod which was overcooked. The sides were sufficient, and I am thankful I had those to round out my meal, as I didn't finish my entre. Our son ordered the walleye which... More

Close to 30 years since we visited the Hiawatha, while it has changed, still brings back memories. Had the Friday Night Fish Fry, it was very good, though for the serving size, we thought it was slightly overpriced. Will come back again!!
