While on vacation, took our family for lunch since we were looking forward to enjoying some German food. The brat burgers on pretzel buns were delicious. But the jaegerscnitzel sandwich stole the show - large yummy sandwhich that was cooked perfectly. Will visit again each...More

This is not my first time at Brat House Grill, and will definitely NOT be my last! Great beer selection and excellent food. The servers and staff are always friendly too! And they have homemade desserts! Tonight I had an Andouille sausage and homemade chips...More

I love a good bratwurst and I doubt you'll find better than here. Part sports bar, part karaoke bar, this place is great. It's an old church. Established in 1850, it's one of the oldest public buildings in Southeast Wisconsin. The service was fast, friendly,...More

Went with my family on our first night to the dells - what a great place! The hosts were so nice and welcoming, you could tell they love working there (maybe the owners!?). Everyone had different items, the cheese curds and pretzel bites were fantastic....More

Good service and food was OK. Parking not a problem and easy to find if you're visiting the Dells. Great place for watching sports on their TV's.

We came in late as most other area restaurants were closed. We ate in the dining room with our 10 year old. The service was quick and friendly. Our server helped us make choices. The homemade ranch was fantastic. The Jaeger Schnitzel(sp?) Sandwich was great!...More

When we went, there was a sports game going on so it was too crowed to sit at the bar, where obviously was the area with the most atmosphere. We sat in a back dining room, which was not busy at all. After several minutes,...More

We were driving around the Dells and passed by this quaint looking spot and decided to have a quick lunch. We were greeted and seated in the dining area away from the bar. It was quiet considering a Packers game was on in the bar...More

Neat place to eat and have a drink. Good drink specials too. Staff is nice and it's usually pretty quiet but they do have live music occasionally.

Originally constructed in 1850, the Delton Academy was a one room Baptist Boys Schoolhouse. In 1865, it became the Delton Methodist Church. In 1894, the church was expanded and the entryway and side room additions were built. What was originally the entrance was replaced with the G.A.R. stained glass window and the bell tower was added. During this period it was also used as the G.A.R. Hall. The Grand Army of the Republic was the Civil War version of the V.F.W. for the Union army. In 1868, General Order #11 of the G.A.R. called for May 30th to be designated as the day of memorial for Union veterans; originally called "Decoration Day", it later evolved into the U.S. national Memorial Day holiday. The G.A.R. was also active in pension legislation, establishing retirement homes for soldiers, and many other areas which concerned Union veterans. The influence of the G.A.R. led to the creation of the Old Soldiers' Homes of the late 19th century, which evolved into the current United States Department of Veterans Affairs. The back room, bathroom and kitchen addition was added sometime in the 1950's. In the 1970's, the building was then purchased by a group of local residents and it became the Old Delton Academy Antique Mall. In the spring of 2007, the building underwent a revamping and became what it is today; the oldest public building in southwest Wisconsin and home of the Brat House Grill. The building still retains it's original wood floor, wainscoting and window frames. It's remarkable what great shape the building is in after it's extensive and varied history.
