Had dinner at the White Buffalo Club restaurant while on vacation. Our party had a wonderful dinner with terrific food. We had the venison and the bavette on the heated salt block. First things first - the venison was perfection. Highly recommend. Our steak cooked...rare and then allowed to rest on the heated salt block created a wonderful flavor and perfectly done meat. The restaurant has a strong wine list and cocktail menu. What makes this a great place for dinner is the small and intimate setting with a staff that is full of life and extremely friendly. Upon entering the restaurant, we were disappointed that the bar was not open to sit at for drinks as it was reserved for hotel guests coming for dinner. We were however able to sit at our table early so it didn’t matter. Drinks took a...looooong time to come and the place wasn’t really busy and the place isn’t that big. When they did come, they were made well. Our server was Micah and he was a veteran server. We had the bone marrow, Caesar salad and Bibb lettuce salads to start. We tried the 8 oz filet, tomahawk, 14 oz ribeye and veg pasta for entrees- all were cooked to order. The tomahawk was a special and came on a sizzling salt block and was amazing! Our sides of lobster Mac n Chs and mashed potatoes were good as well as hot on arrival. Even though we were stuffed we had the Buffalo pie and profiteroles for dessert and enjoyed both. *Sadly they were out of the bread they had listed on the specials wall board. My wife and I just visited here and had a fantastic experience. The Bavette steak I ordered was cooked perfect mid-rare and so flavorful and tender. My wife’s filet was also on point. The duck Mac n cheese was a good side and big enough...for the two of us to share. It was a bit salty but not overpowering. I would order it again. We also got two dessert which was great (skillet cookie and a coffee dessert). Service was great the entire night and we felt well attended to. My only complaint was that there was a group of 4 drunks that came into the bar area and were loud, carrying on, cussing, and taking FaceTime calls for the restaurant to hear. Sadly the entire restaurant can hear loud people at the bar because it is an intimate, small space. It is what it is… and tough for management to control drunks…just glad we were pretty much done our meal or it would have completely ruined the fine dining experience.More

We love a good steak and had been looking forward to this place for weeks. I asked for a dirty martini. It had to be returned. And I am sure they did not shake it up again. And not very cold. The steak had good...flavor but it was over salted. And I love lots of salt so I was suprised. For the amount of money this resturtant is not worth the money. Spend your money elsewhere. Visited this restaurant last year for first time. Excellent food/service. Called to book reservation 3 weeks ago for 1/26/2022. Made several calls before someone answered phone. Confirmed reservation for 2. Called back a week before reservation to confirm reservation. Left message. No callback. Arrived for...dinner and no reservation. No manager to speak with. Attitude - sorry for the confusion. No empathy. There are several other find dining restaurants in JH. Asked a waitress at another restaurant about White Buffalo. Great insight - ownership change, food still excellent, but service is now awful. Warning - party of 2 can easily spend $200 wine/food. If you are ok with 5 star food and 2 star service go for it.More

Wonderful steakhouse and cocktail bar. We had a great meal here we ordered the bone marrow - highly recommend - steak, Brussels sprouts, and pork belly pasta. Four of us ate there last week. It was ok. The people that got steak said their meals were ok, one had salmon and liked it and I had the pork belly dish. (Do not get the pork belly with the linguine. I expected some...grilled pork belly over pasta. What I got was limp near raw pieces of pork over pasta with little seasoning.) The only other complaint we had was the lack of green vegetables offered as sides. The only one offered the night we were there was Brussel sprouts. No spinach or asparagus as one might expect at a steak house.More

I've visited Jackson many times over the past two decades, so when I discovered this restaurant on my last visit I was AMAZED! Wow, this is surely THE place for fine dining in town. We made a reservation far in advance to get into this restaurant. It's small and the manager was a bit stressed when he couldn't find our reservation even though we arrived right on time. I leaned over the desk and pointed out our name. He...said, but I already seated you!" Obviously not. He was a bit shocked as were we. Anyway, he found us a table and the service, food, and wine choices were excellent. You will not be disappointed unless you can't get a reservation. The manager is hands on and leads a top notch team.More
