I used to eat at a counter joint in San Francisco where they served the best breakfast in town for a few bucks. The Prairie Rose serves the best breakfast in this town for a few bucks. While they rightfully boast of their green-chile smothered breakfast burrito, I am particular to their omelets. If you wanta yummy, hearty breakfast in... More

If you love Breakfast, then you will love the Prairie Rose Cafe. The staff are friendly and nice, the food is fresh and hot. Great place to have a cup of joe or the incredible "Danwich". You have to eat it to believe it. It is simply wonderful and extremely filling.

Arriving in Laramie early on a Sunday morning in November, we wanted breakfast but thought fast food was all we'd find. We drove past Prairie Rose Cafe, and decided to give it a try. We walked in at 8:45 A.M. and found the restaurant packed. We settled into the only 2 seats available, which were at the counter. I ordered... More

Great "diner" food! B&G tasted like good ole sausage gravy made from drippings. Scrambled eggs were lite & fluffy! My honey's ham steak was full of flavor! Eggs were cooked just right for over easy. The pancake was fluffy & delicious. Friendly & fast service! I recommend you get a cinnamon roll on the way out!

Went there for a birthday breakfast and had the chicken fried steak and egg breakfast. The hash-browns were a little undone but still delicious and the chicken fried steak was done to perfection. A perfect place to go for intimate breakfast.

This place has the look and feel of a neighborhood cafe. The people are very friendly and the menu is simple but hearty. The morning I visited it seemed like many of the other diners were locals having breakfast before work. Some didn't even seem to order they just came in, sat down, and their "usual" was delivered to the... More

Yes, service is "typical diner style" wherein the entire restaurant is served by two waitresses. All I know is the food is fantastic diner food and we never have to wait for much whether we sit at the counter or a table. Breakfast burrito is covered in an amazing homemade green chili to make it over the top. Squeeze in... More

It was a 30 minute wait to get seated. It took 15 minutes and even be noticed in the restaurant and get our order taken. It took 45 minutes after ordering to get a side of eggs and a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon rolls are premade I don't understand the wait.

After traveling all day, needed a home cooked meal, and this fit the need perfectly. Staff was friendly and helpful. Even fit in the perfect slice of Apple pie for to make the hubby happy. Will stop again when we travel that direction on the future.

Good, basic good. Service is rushed and typical diner style. They have an old fashioned counter for the regulars or single diners. They make their own, giant, cinnamon rolls with butter cream frosting and the breakfast burrito is huge and good. It is small, and outdated, and Moderately clean but you don't feel at risk. A local icon, formerly Roses,... More
