This is a small place that doesn't try to be fancy, but the staff was very nice and helpful. At the recommendation of our server, i had a green chili smothered soppappila (sp?). It was delicious! My wife had a pair of tacos and they were very good. If we come this way again, this willbe a definite stop.

I drive across Wyoming on a regular basis using I80. I always plan my trip around eating at Roses Lariat. Foods always good - staff is always pleased to see you. Special note - cash only, no credit cards or checks.

I am a Texan and I have never had better Mexican. The Mexican Long Johns and the Smothered Chimichangas were wonderful. The salsa verde is exquisite. Thanks for a great experience! My wife and I loved it.

We stopped for lunch on our way through town and I do not understand why others have praised the food so highly or why the tiny place was as packed as it is. The staff is super friendly. Service is great. But the food is covered in so much sauce that any goodness that might be had is lost in... More

Oh wow! When you go here, please order the homemade French fries... Truly delicious! Hot and fresh, these are what we call in England "proper chips". They aren't the regular French fries that you get in restaurants. These are cut and fried fresh there and then... You'll see the difference. The corn chips and salsa were delicious - the salsa... This is fabulous. It looks a little small from the outside but the woman at our hotel recommended it and she was right. Mom makes all of the Mexican food herself. The enchiladas were wonderful. My husband enjoyed the burrito. The waitress was friendly and courteous. There is no alcohol served.

We stopped at this cafe on our way thru Wyoming just looking for food to fill us up. What we found was a small treasure of great classic Mexican food and a wonderful welcoming family waiting on us. Please visit and save room for dessert.

Go early or late because at normal eating times it is packed. Only about 20 seats and they do not accept credit cards. Food was great, good sized portions.

Stick to the basics. They used to only have beef. No Quesadillas, no chimi, and no fish or shrimp. The green chili is great if you like the flavor. It is primarily New Mexican. The owner's grandparents are from New Mexico and Bobby took over from his Mom who was Rose! His kids are doing a lot of the running... More

I often travel between Denver and Idaho and when time allows I stop to eat. The green chili is even better than my favorite Denver Mexican restaurants. The prices are great too. The place is very small and a little off I-80 but is so well worth the stop!
