Nice old style family cafe. The prices were pretty reasonable and the food was very good, the staff was very friendly. It took a while for us to get our food, but we didn't mind since we were visiting and enjoying the conversation.

The P.O. News is a historic fixture in Sheridan. Until approximately 40+ years ago the cafe was a separate business, the P.O. Snack Bar. A wall must have been removed and made it into one business. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is superb. The service is good. The owners are very friendly. And I've heard the cigars are good... More

Much of this business' interior is as it was 100 years ago, with tin ceilings, wood floors and showcases of cigar boxes. I usually have the tuna melt, but went for the cordon Bleu this time. It was delicious. The meat on my husband's French dip tasted old, but most of my reviews state that my food was good and... More

They serve a great breakfast. The Breakfast burrito is huge and has lots of stuff in it. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is fun. It has been a while since I had lunch here but it is usually good too.

Lots of options on the menu. Reasonably priced and fast service. The gluten free blueberry pancakes were fluffy. The bacon was DELICIOUS.

My daughter and I stop here a couple times a month because they have excellent soup and it's nearly the only place in town to get cold sandwiches. Their chicken salad sandwich is excellent. You can also get a chicken salad plate. It's the same chicken salad, but excellent.

Great ambiance, good service, nice art work, good cigar selection in the news area but...coffee was brown water and the food was disappointing. Blue berry pancakes were tasteless. I am a blue berry pancake lover, apparently the only places that do them right are Maine,Vermont and Western Massachusetts.

I have to admit I'm surprised when I have gluten-free products that don't taste like something from the cardboard/paper family. Their "soda" pancakes were filled with fresh, sweet blueberries and I couldn't get enough. It was just sweet enough where I could enjoy it without syrup. And that crunchy edge was the texture I wished all pancakes had. I've been... More
