Stopped here a few days ago and did a review but wanted to add more info. They have the freshest Ono fish on the island. Truly a family home grown operation. Even has a resident dog on premises. Will definitely return.

You have to stop at this place if you are ever in the area. The ono fish and chips were the best. Local fisherman bring their catch to the restaurant daily and you could definitely tell it was fresh. And the coating on the fish is light and crunchy, not heavy and greasy like so many places. The atmosphere is... More

Read the online reviews and got excited about some good ono fish-n-chips. When we arrived it was late in the afternoon, so we were not able to try to fish tacos, maybe they are not prepared til later in the evening? So, my husband and I both shared the 1&1/2 order of fish-n-chips. I would describe them as small flat... More

All my customers from the Cruise ships gave an excellent rating of foods serve by Keoki Roadside Café in Capt. Cook. They say that the "Fish and Chips" is incomparable the fact that the fish is freshly caught and not frozen nor refrigerated that makes this food "ono" or delicious. The sweet potato chips is very delicious. The setting of... More

After to and from black sands beach (back to Kona) we decided to hit up Keoki's. THANK GOODNESS we did. The fish is sliced thin and fried delicately - not heavy at all. The Ono bites were perfectly sized and the sauce was - OUT OF THIS WORLD (well close to it). Highly recommend if you are craving fish and... More

We were led here by another review to experience the fish and chips. The fish was very fresh and was not so deep fried in batter that it took away from the taste of the fish. The staff was very nice, friendly and informative and the food was ready promptly and came out individually cooked. Obviously, this means that they... More

We were visiting family in the Kona area over Thanksgiving and when Saturday rolled around we were craving something that wasn't turkey. After determining that the four of us liked fish and chips; my sister and I went to Keoki's to get takeout. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have a license for beer and wine because I... Great fresh fish and other sandwiches! Fun atmostphere to sit out back with bistro tables, cats, chickes, a cockatoo, wind chimes and bird feeders. Inside front area items for sale from local artists.

We were driving around and stopped because the place looked quaint. And it is: a cockatoo, cats, Chickens, outside covered patio seating surrounded by plants and fruit trees. The fish and chips were the best I've ever had, and my husband had fresh ono tacos, which he really enjoyed. What a great find this restaurant was!

The fish and chips were delicious. The restaurant gets fresh fish on a regular basis and you can tell. The wait staff was very friendly. One of our most pleasing quick meals in Kona.

Description
About 24 miles south of Kona International Airport...on Mamalahoa Hwy. Absolutely the BEST fish and chips ANYWHERE. Fresh, light batter, chips are thinly sliced and delicious. We have gone there several times on each of our last 3 vacations to the Big Island. Great little place to stop.
