Location and contact

Tina's Garden Cafe is a local Thai Fusion restaurant located on the bay front area of Hilo, Hawaii. We serve Family Style dishes, crafted from as many locally-sourced and organic ingredients as possible. Our dishes are made-to-order, and are designed to be shared. Since most of our ingredients are fresh and locally sourced, we may have a limited supply based on availability. Please be sure to ask your friendly wait staff for more information about your favorite dishes! We recommend that you make reservations or pre-order ahead of time, as our dinning area is quite limited and in high demand. We are not a fast-food place and all of our dishes will take some time to make by our wonderful chef

Tina’s offers a wide range of Thai-ish food ranging from papaya salad to Tom Yum (so-named) soup to sticky rice with mango. We tried the Tom Yum soup, a green curry, the papaya salad and the “wild salad” and it was plenty for four people...More

Unlike any Thai restaurant I've ever been to, Tina's specializes in family style large dishes like the pineapple rice that you should absolutely plan to share with friends. Funky, artsy atmosphere right on Hilo Bayfront... character, great food and good vibes!

This place was an AWESOME lunch stop! It was an odd hour - 3ish - and their business was steady so that should say something. We were debating what to order when our charming waitress (from Bangkok) made a couple recommendations that we went with....More

Despite its reasonable prices, this is one of the best restaurants in Hilo. An amazing array of innovative generous salads, freshest ingredients, even the heart of palm. Soups and curry excellent, but without Thai heat, a real fusion. The biggest shrimp I’ve ever seen, cooked...More

A shop owner on the bayfront had recommended that we try this place. We decided to give it a try and skip our usual places to eat. We were greeted immediately and taken to an open table. Water was brought to us and soon our...More

Our tour guide recommended this restaurant, and we are so glad he did. The food was simply outstanding, and everyone in our group was happy with their choices. It was the best meal we had in Hawaii.

When we first arrived in Hilo, we quickly noticed a more noticeable Asian influence in not only the cuisine, but many aspects of every day life. We set off to find Thai food and landed in Tina's restaurant. This is not a strictly Thai kitchen,...More

This is the best food I have ever had on vacation, and possibly in my life. The portions are HUGE and the prices are incredibly reasonable considering how much you get and where you are. We were served quickly and each of the menu items...More

We went there for lunch and had a great experience. I read that some people complain about no/slow service but it seems to be old comments. In our case it was excellent (restaurant was half full) : quick for giving menu, good advices on what...More
