Fresh poke dished up everyday and all types just caught fish. Picked up a fat Hog fish for just $3.00 per pound. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, but it is well worth it. If it is that crowded it must be good.

Coming from Seattle, we have plenty of good poke options. Still, the poke at Suisan's was as good or better than any I've had. Got two choices in individual containers and ate at the park. Excellent! Hope to go back before we leave the Island.

Came here for the poke bowls and they didn't disappoint. The fish was fresh and delicious and for the size of the bowls, quite reasonably priced. It's more fish market than restaurant though, so be prepared for canned soda and plastic garden chairs outside to go along with that awesome poke.

I was just driving around in hilo and saw this place so decided to stop. I initially thought it was just a fish market but when i went in and saw all those different kinds of poke... The worst was deciding which one to pick. Very similar to a basic tartare, i took a poke combo : 2 choices +... More

Tried poke here for the first time on the recommendation of a local resident. They had many types to pick from, it was great. Took ours across the street and had lunch under the banyan tree.

Have eaten here several times. Or, really, just picked stuff up to eat back home. I don't know why, but there's something about Suisan what prevents me from rating it higher. Maybe it's the layout of the store? Which seems to have changed since last time, but is still a little off for me. Also, even when there's a short... More

We got a fresh mahi mahi catch and a salmon from NZ. The fish looked great and they were super helpful. Lots of ahi poke to choose from!

An interesting place to see many different kinds of fish. This place is for buyers for restaurants, or whole sale to ship out by plane to cities like Honolulu.

Whenever I come to Hilo, I buy poke bowl for lunch! The fish there is excellent and never let me down♪ I also buy fresh fish there for BBQ and some Japanese food.

This place had an enormous selection of poke plus some beautiful fresh fish for the grill. We got a large slab of ono that was wonderful when grilled back at the house.
