We got seated and took a few minutes to familiarize ourselves with their extensive menu. We noticed this restaurant also offers senior prices on their menu between 2 - 10 p.m. We were here for breakfast. My husband ordered his usual: crab cakes eggs benedict. A very bad choice. The English muffins were very soggy, the crab cakes were too... More

We went here for lunch on the recommendation of a local and were glad we did. It is what we see as a classic american dinner, loads to choose from, big portions at a good price. Our food was very good and tasty. The staff were very friendly. Based on our experience we would recommend this restaurant.

We rented a home in Hilo and the owner suggested that we go to Ken's for breakfast as many of the locals eat there. We were looking for a quick dinner and saw that Ken's had a huge menu and there was something for everyone's varied tastes. Generally, we were disappointed except for the person who ordered breakfast items. I... More

Not cheap by mainland standards ($53 for 3 for breakfast) but still a very hearty and reasonable breakfast. Definitely large portions and quick if slightly unfriendly service.

A Hilo favorite for local and visitors alike. Nothing fancy , just good food and plenty of it. American,Mexican, Hawaiian, and importantly, fast. Give it a try.

It's a classic! Effusive hostess', aging waitress' competent and unflappable. Call me honey or sweetheart? Quick service from a big 'laminated ' menu. You can have omelets galore, liver and onions, coffee till your teeth float. So many choices from Spam to Portagee sausage. This a "local" place to stop any time day or night.

Ken's is a short walk from hotel. It was worth it. Great menu, full of any and everything you could want for breakfast. The service was great too. Kept us filled with coffee. The breakfast at our hotel was $15.00, we got two full breakfasts for that amount at Ken's.
