Felt like a must see local institution that was conveniently located on most of our trips through Hilo. My recommendation: the macadamia banana waffles! You won't leave hungry or broke!

After a big day playing at the beach, we ended up at Ken's for a very late lunch. 3 pm. Some of our group had pancakes which were plentiful. The keike plate was huge( 3 pancakes, 2 slices of bacon and 1 scrambled egg). I had the grilled Mahi-Mahi which was done to perfection and seasoned with lemon pepper!!!!👏 The... More

We wanted a place close to the hotel (Castle Hilo Hawaiian). The front desk recommended Ken's as a place with a lot of variety of choices. We found many options for food. The menu had several pages. While it is called a pancake house, there were burgers, eggs, Mexican food, dessert. The servings were very generous. None of us could... More

We had a great meal here after an exhausting day at the lava flow. Five people, tired, starving and dusty. The sat us right away. Each of us had something different and loved it all. Give the noodle bowls a go. They are amazing

Ken's is a staple during a Hilo visit. It's typically my first stop for breakfast. Pancakes and homemade syrups are delicious. My favorite mix of banana pancakes with coconut syrup captures the taste of the islands! The lap cheong omelette was tasty, not heavy and seasoned nicely. If you're in Hilo, make sure you stop by Ken's!

Delicious!! Parking is a bit hectic because this is a popular location. Other than that, the food was great!

Great local and tourist spot open 24 hours. Kind of like an IHOP but better. Service with a smile. Parking is tight so go early or late. Banana pancakes are wonderful and the coffee is better than most.

We had the pancakes several times, really enjoyed the syrups, especially the coconut. The omelets were also excellent. We saw a lot of other good looking dishes being served around us but, we couldn't get past the breakfast choices.

Food was delicious both times we visited. The staff is helpful and friendly. It's open 24 hours and has received awards for decades. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Average food, greasy spoon type. Very fast and friendly service. Huge portions. Parking is very limited. Can accommodate large groups.
