We happened onto this pub on a Wednesday night when they had live music with a local flair. The place has an inviting decor and friendly atmosphere. Local musicians were drawn in to share the mic with a lead musician who played well and invited others to join him. The staff was attentive and provide excellent service. Drinks were generous and well priced. We had pizza slices and salad. Salads were well prepared with fresh greens and the build your pizza slice was a nice option. We are told they have live music Wed-Sat. Highly recommend it for good vibes and drinks.

As we were driving on route 19 toward Hawi we realized when we got to Hawi we might not have any place to eat, so a quick review on trip advisor showed us a place called the Honoka’a Public house. Well, it was well rated although not much competition in this small town. We parked in front and when we got out there was thunderous music coming; turned out to be a DJ; about a dozen people were there; rustic but nice setting. We sat at the bar and there were 2 delightful gals running the show. The music quieted down a bit later; i got a salad and Chili. The food was very good and the pizza, which they are known for, looked world class. Almost so much so that I regret that we didn't come back for it. A few good interesting beers. A nice stop and possibly a nice town to base in. If you are going to Waipi’o valley, it is on the way.

Hot Dog with everything, I mean everything. Kraut, relish, mayo, onion, jalapeno, deli mustard, tabasco with tater tots, $10.00. BLT, generous selection of bacon. 5 thick slices in the rasher, with thick chips, $10.00. 16 oz Stella, $6.50, glass of wine, $7.00.Located In the middle of main street area and a lovely, articulate service person. Clean, friendly and a natural. Comfortable place for pub food and pizza. Don't miss it!

My husband and I stopped in for lunch while touring the east side of the Big Island. I had the house special pastrami sandwhich; every element was excellent, from the smoky meat to the fresh horseradish on the side. My husband’s chili was the way we like it, with peppers and onions in the mix. Beer selection was local and ice cold. Would love to be there for an evening concert.

Great ambiance, menu, and service! I had their pastrami sandwich and it was amazing. I saw their pizza (a lot of people ordering) and wished I had enough room to eat that too, looked so good. Michelle, the owner was taking orders and delivering the food. She is friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back.

This is a cute local pub, the pizzas are always a family favorite. This time I added a Greek Salad and my son had a burger. It was all good. I wished it was closer to my home (45 minutes drive), but it's a nice drive out. Service was good.

Fantastic place to stop on the way around the island! Did a late lunch. Great food selection with a ton of pizzas. Everyone in family was able to find a great sandwich or salad. Good tap list. Super friendly team working there. Would stop back.

Great service, food and drinks. Laid back, local and comforting. Only drawback no deserts. Both partner and I ate more at lunch than all we ate yesterday because the food is excellent. Stop by and enjoy time out

Even though I heard about this place online, it definitely feels like more of a local spot which is great, everyone seemed to know everyone here. The service was excellent and the pizza was actually really great! I was honestly shocked because I wasn't expecting it to be that good - check this place out!

Dropped into this local pub on a Wed., open mic night.... GREAT time! People were awesome, food was fantastic, and Malia (sp?) Was the best! She was our bartender/server, but she made the time there so special, FUN person! Great find!

We are working to shorten those wait time for our pizzas, but not at the expense of our quality.
We need to clarify that we are NOT doing Sunday breakfast this football season - we are severely short handed for cooks and bartenders, and something had to give.
Come back and see us soon!

Stopped by for pizza. It was recommended by our helicopter pilot as the best pizza on the island. It was really good and they are huge!!

We had rented a house in Honokaa and one late evening this was the only place open in town. They served us great pizza and beer and the staff was extremely friendly and made us welcome.
