Stopped in for breakfast after the sunrise lava boat tour. Small but very local and food was good. The fruit on the plate and a flower were a nice addition. There was a fruit called a "long an". Which I had never tried.

Pele's only serves breakfast and it's obvious why. They do such a great job for all of the menu items we tried and there were many! They make fresh squeezed juice there from various fruits so get there early enough to get a glass. You won't regret it.
Great coffee and the egg's benedict with fresh avocado was delicious! My husband had the breakfast burrito and that was tasty too. Fast, friendly service. My only complaint was that the restrooms weren't very clean.
We arrived as police officers were asking folks to move their cars as they had to clear the street. Seemed the staff parked out front and this became a bit unnerving for them. We were on island time so no big deal but the staff seemed a bit upset, frazzled. We hung in, sat down and got one breakfast ordered... More
We right away loved the relaxed, local vibe of this popular spot, with handwoven hats and baskets, local honey and exotic fruit grown on the owner's farm displayed for sale. By the way, the decor can be described as either 'eclectic' or 'junky'. There was only... More
My family and I wanted to try a new place for breakfast so we went to Pele's Kitchen. Not sure what is the big fuss is about because the food is nothing spectacular. Pancakes are made with store bought pancake mix, french toast are three slices of bread dipped in eggs with black pepper ( very hard and dry), the... More
Mahalo for taking the time to respond. Although we usually get complimented for all we do, we appreciate the criticism as it helps us check our service and gives us the opportunity to improve. I'm glad you liked the hot sauce and service. Aunty Liz More
