We were taking Captain Andy's Napali cruise and had some time, so we stopped in next door at the Sunset Grill. We ordered some appetizers: blackened shrimp in a great finger licking sauce, coated calamari steak in a sauce, sauteed sweet fresh taste Kauai shrimp with the heads on (option) in garlic, and a broiled fish sandwich. All had great... More

Don't let the grungy, industrial setting put you off. The food is great (perfectly cooked, fresh caught fish) and the service pleasant. I do wish, however, that they'd wipe down their menus every now and then.

We had eaten across the street at the Kauai Brewing Company and wanted to try a different place. There was no wait for seating, so we got a table on the deck. The server took a while to get to us, and the soup was brought out at the same time as lunch. We got a "sorry, it all got... More

The atmosphere is casual and a little funky, so if you're looking for upscale dining, this is not your place. But the food was tasty (blackened shrimp), the drinks were good, the setting relaxed, and service friendly and efficient.

My husband and I had been exploring the South Shore of Kauai And decided to stop here for lunch. There are not too many places to choose from but this had an outside patio with lots of fresh air circulating. It was a hot day. Service was excellent and the food arrived very quickly. My husband had a fish wrap... More

Stopped here before a dinner cruise and again after a trip to waimea canyon...just for the virgin strawberry daiquiri! Their New England clam chowder wasn't bad either!

Next to Captain Andy's. Good food at a reasonable price. Good service. Catch if the day prepared well.

Dirty! Food was not good. I had the crab cakes and I am not even sure if they were actually crab. My husband got the chicken wrap and he said that was not good either. Everything there was dirty and flys storming everywhere. Server was not friendly at all. The beer was cold and that was the only positive. I... More

This place is well advertised and gets decent reviews so we ate there for our first night. I'd say we were disappointed. The food was okay. The server was nice enough but was acting a little strange. It seemed like she couldn't focus on us and kept looking around. She only had about three tables. We sat outside after sunset... More

The crab cakes were much better than we could have expected. Should have ordered two orders of it and skipped the main meal it was so good.
