I feel like you get a lot for your money with this luau. Arrive on time and you'll get a shell lei greeting, tram tour of the property (along with bits of plant life knowledge and history), see the pig get taken out of the ground, enjoy some live Hawaiian music while you eat dinner (buffet style), and then watch... Smith's is not just a restaurant....the cruise to and from Fern Grotto was beautiful, the luau plentiful and well-organized, and the show afterward superb. We enjoyed the several hours of this package immensely and Smith's did a great job with a large crowd. This is an experience that you shouldn't miss when you come to Kauai. Kudos to the Smith... The welcome to Smith's was genuine. The introduction to the garden was informative. The garden was beautiful. The ceremonies were simple and the feast was excellent. I can't wait to bring the kids back with us next year.

My wife was excited to go to a luau, and I thought it was a bit to kitschy for me. We wound up having a blast, and I think I had more fun than she did! The grounds here are beautiful, and the tram ride to see them was kind of fun. What really surprised me was how good the... More

So we have been there 2 times now and they always make us feel welcomed and respected. The food is awesome and the drinks are flavorful (not much alcohol in the Mai Tai's though). the show is always great and the performers are very professional. LOVE THE ATMOSPHERE HERE!

Luau style feast, delightful garden tour, beautiful ceremony and splendid entertainment. Buffet was the weak point, but very good and the variation of meats we got to try was a treat. Very glad we did it.

Smith's Luau takes place on pretty, well maintained grounds with a wide variety of birds and plants. It's a nice setting, in which they serve a massive gathering of tourists with some of the lowest quality buffet food around. Really, if you go to Smith's, go for the luau experience, the drinks, and the setting, but do NOT go for... More

It was so much to do there. First, we walked around the garden and saw different plants, flowers, peacocks, Tahitian, and Filipino’s villages. Then there was Imo ceremony when two guys dug out roasted pig from the ground. It was followed by a delicious dinner with a variety of local foods. The show was fantastic!
