Absolutely what all shave ice should aspire to! Hand built with homemade syrups of local tropical fruit. They use a antique ice shaver and make the best shave ice on the planet. I have to admit I never tried shave ice, maybe once before Tege Tege. I could never get around all the chemical dyes that people are willing to... More

Let me preface with the fact that I am not a shave ice person. I find them to be fluffy sno-cones with an overabundance of syrup and maybe some ice cream or fruit thrown in some of the time. Since I am originally from a place that can use real snow (aka shaved ice) to make homemade ice creams, etc.... More

It's a pleasure to watch each serving being made, as a work of art. Remarkable flavors -- you can taste the fruit. I particularly liked the two seasonal flavors: passion fruit honey, and raspberry. Would have come back more times if they had been open

We joined the queue to get our treat, it was a bit of a wait but the length of the line indicates Tege Tege's popularity. This one man band operation is always busy, he is meticulous in his cleanliness and attention to detail. His ingredients are fresh and high quality and yet the prices remain reasonable. Watching him build your... More

Organic and real fruits are used for shave ice. No chemicals or preservatives ~ All syrup is lovingly made and tasty and real. Shave ice is shaved on a real shave ice machine to give you softest melt in your mouth ice flakes. This is the real deal. Wish they would come back to the North Shore. We miss you... More

Upon trying this once, I had to keep coming back. Day after day my mouth danced with delight : green tea with green tea ice cream, ginger honey, coconut... Just go.

This is quite different from the usual shave ice. This is not snow cone. This is not even Matsumoto's shave ice of Oahu. The shave ice is soft and smooth. The icing on the cake? The fresh fruit that is added to the shave ice. Refreshing! Delectable!

As everyone has said, light and fluffy, great flavors (my favorite was the passion fruit); the condensed milk makes it a total treat. Expensive, and worth it. We were at the truck in Kapa'a - always a line (yes, we went twice).

As a reviewer said there is shaved ice and then there is Tege Tege. It is the best !! The ice is like fresh fluffy powdered snow and the flavors are delicious. I had ginger / Lemmon with pollen on top with homemade ice cream. Delicious. The next day I wanted another one. We were willing to make the extra... More
