Dukes is by far the best choice for people that are staying at the Marriott and don't want to drive. This is within easy walking distance from any of the rooms. A great view of people and the ocean and the food is good. Downstairs you can sit by the sidewalk and see the ocean or sit inside near a... More

We stopped here as our last meal in Kauai on our way to the airport. It’s probably the closest non-chain place to get a meal before you are subjected to airline food. The cheese burger and Korean steak tacos were both great and served with crispy fries. The wait staff was very friendly and efficient. They have free valet parking.... More

My wife and I visited Duke's for our last night on the island. The restaurant took reservations for our dinner and was nice enough to surprise my wife with dessert when I mentioned that it was her birthday. The open air restaurant provided relaxed seating. The food was good and decently priced for the island. Our server was great. Alvin... More

Lunch was very good. Had pork sandwich and burger. Both very good. Had the hula pie. OMG. Excellent. A must have on a visit since they are famous for it.

Duke's is always a requirement when we visit Kauai. The wait staff are all wonderful, the views of paradise are incomparable, and the food is so very, very excellent.

We had our Thanksgiving meal here - some had turkey and some had fish - and the food was fantastic! Extensive salad bar, and you must order a Hula Pie to share for dessert!

Food was good loved the tacos and they had a nice beer selection. We were able to go late after a few drinks by the Marriott bar

Worst food we ate on the island, so much so that we both woke up with stomach cramps on the second time we ate there. The first time wasn't the best downstairs, so we thought we'd give it a go upstairs as we had been told it was a better menu. Wish we hadn't bothered now, as it certainly did... More

Food is good, service is good, and the view is good. Worth it! I would say it is worth going once, but I ended up going twice: once for drinks after dinner, and then while my husband was surfing.

Description
On the sand at Kalapaki Beach, Duke’s is dedicated to legendary surfer Duke Kahanamoku, Hawaii’s Ambassador of Aloha. The restaurant’s open-air design offers stunning, sweeping ocean views while the 30 foot waterfall plunges into a koi pond below that meanders through the tables. Enjoy a leisurely lunch, romantic dinner, or tropical cocktail in a fun, friendly atmosphere.
