This market is amazing! Super choices to choose from regarding meat, fruit and vegetables, beer and liquor, everything you could need! They had amazing fresh salads to choose from and the meat market is top notch! Extremely clean and the staff is amazing!

In addition to normal food and drink supplies, they have prepared food. Good place to grab a bite prior to heading to Waimea State Park. Food is very good and very well priced. It's on the left as you head into Waimea.

Their deli is wonderful. They have a wide variety of fish dishes, salads, etc. We've been there on both our visits to Kauai and picked up food for a picnic. Good food, Prices are reasonable and staff are very helpful.

This place was suggested to us as a place to get food to go and eat while viewing the canyon. We got the shrimp poke which was nicely spicy and shrimp burgers which were very good. The server was very helpful in helping us make our choice, she did not hurry us at all and plied us with some tasty... More

Poke? What's that? It's authentic Hawaiian food, the equivalent of sushi but it's Hawaiian. Made from the freshest of fish or other sea creatures like squid or octopus. The market is only minutes away from a fishing boat. It was my first time to try Poke and it was tasty and delicious. I sampled the traditional flavoured tuna and then... More

We stopped and grabbed delicious, fresh-made ahi poke for lunch. Very friendly staff. Pre-made sandwiches also very good to bring on hiking trips.

Part of the territory of being married to my wife is that when we are in Italy we are on the constant hunt for the best gelato, and when we are in Hawaii we are on the constant hunt for the best poke. You can get the best poke here at Ishihara. And unlike the rest of the sleepy locals... More

Ishihara has been an institution in Waimea for over 80 years. And they're not resting on their laurels: they still dish out great poke. I went there with my brother; and ordered a half pound of original ahi poke, and another half-pound of mussel poke. The two of them combined were under $10. Bit of a line at the back... More

Ishihara Market was everything and more and kept us well fed during our stay in Waimea. We loved the fresh poke (my favorite was Kimchi Sea Snails) and the availability of so many locally produced items like Kauai grown grass fed beef and pork. We cooked an entire 5-course Xmas eve meal for our family with all local, fresh ingredients... More
