Umalu's is the poolside restaurant at the Hyatt Regency. Nothing fancy, or different, but a good place to catch a lite lunch, on the grounds. Mahi Mahi tacos were great, and the service was good. Beautiful view of the ocean, and pool area, while you eat, and all seats were shaded, so sun not beating down on you, while you... More

First let me say that I usually do not do many reviews but on the occasion I will find that special place or service that should be recognized! We believe that the bar at Umalu was the best bar that we found while we were in Maui! First let me say that everyone I saw had a bartenders immediate attention... More

Some of fish in tacos was overcooked enough to be chewy. Server seemed to be taking care of too many tables. That said, this would be a comfortable place for a large family dinner with all of the cousins.

This was one of the hotel restaurants at the Hyatt that had a sports bar vibe. We sat at the bar and ordered appetizers. My husband really enjoyed the pulled pork fries, but I was a bit disappointed with the Ahi nachos. IMHO a bit overpriced and the food was just so-so.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We tried the calamari and the pulled pork quesadilla and it was very delicious!

Had a drink and appetizer while waiting for our room. Great view of the ocean and pool. Great service. Not the best pizza though.

Really good food. Good drinks. I highly recommend the Tsunami! It's easy to drop in for lunch, or drinks, or both!! Haven't tried their dinner menu yet.

Staying at the Hyatt and spending time at the pool, you come to know Umala pretty well. The best thing about it are the bartenders. Great service, fun, and eager to help. Mahalo Mike, Glenn, and Alona!

Great food. Had poolside service. Lots of variety to chose from. Everything was really good. They serve great blended drinks too. Many to chose from.

Oh my gawd the food was so good. Do try the Volcano Seared Ahi salad. It's available to order in half-portions for those with a smaller appetite. Delicious!
