We come at least once when we're in Maui. Never disappointed, whether as a couple or large family group. Last night was particularly fabulous as we hit dinner at sunset with music from the luau next door (old Lahaina luau). Ahhhhhhh......Maui!

Ate here for dinner one night and contemplated going back for another meal on our trip. Some of the best food we had while on the island. Prices were very reasonable.

We heard about this place from a friend to check out and honestly left very underwhelmed. The food was okay at best, but the prices were pretty cheap to other options as the food was around $10. Drinks are also pretty cheap as well. If you are looking for a more affordable option this would be a good choice otherwise... More

We ate here with 2 kids and our in laws. It was a large amount of food for the price and we ate outside with lots of room for the kids.

One of my favorite restaurants from our recent trip. Some American, but mostly Hawaiian food. Large outdoor patio right on the beach. We watched the sun set over the water and a luau next door enhanced the atmosphere. They do not take reservations and if you are with a group you may wait a while for a table. It is... More

One of our "don't miss" spots in Maui We have never been disappointed in the food here. Today was no exception. We sat about 35 feet away from the waters edge in the shade.

We wanted to sample a variety of foods. With the mixed plates we were able to get three different types of meat.

Finding good affordable restaurants in West Maui is rewarding and Aloha Mixed Plate does it for us. On the ocean right next to the Old Lahaina Luau site, Aloha MP serves Hawaiian style food that is freshly prepared and tasty. There are always specials at good prices. On my last day on Maui I thoroughly enjoyed the Garlic Shrimp special.... More

Description
In the early days of the sugar plantations, lunch was a simple affair. Plantation workers gathered in the fields for their mid-day meal. The Japanese laborers would bring teriyaki beef with rice and pickled vegetables. Seated next to them might be their Filipino neighbors with the traditional dish adobo or perhaps a pork or chicken stew. The Koreans had their kalbi or marinated ribs and the Chinese a rice noodle and vegetable dish called chow fun. Hawaiians were known for their kalua pig, roasted in an underground oven called an imu. It wasn't long before they began to share their foods with one another and the "mixed plate" was born. Aloha Mixed Plate features true "Local" traditional plate lunches with open air seating directly on the ccean. We are open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
