This is in an area of many shops and Glass blowing too. You can spend time and be entertained before you eat.

Blackened fish sandwich with wasabi, fabulous. Fish done just right and the best tomato I've had since last summer. Highly recommend this spot when visiting the great little town of Makawao.
Great fresh food , fast service and great value . Good choice of all types of food, with some different choices. Lovely location, tucked away in a lovely courtyard. Very friendly staff too.
Excellent place for a sandwich. The avocado/shrimp sandwich is recommended. Lots of fun with the chickens running around the tables. Lovely owns the place and does an excellent job.
Don't mind the chickens and roosters, they're just part of the the landscape in this charming little town. Enjoy shopping the boutiques for beautifully handcrafted goods and take a break for lunch at the Courtyard Cafe. Delicious , organic, sustainable food.
This protected courtyard is a lovely place to sit and enjoy shade or sun in subtropical quiet. No noisy music, no espresso-machine roar, no oblivious online addicts glued to their seats for hours. If it rains, which often happens in Makawao, you can move inside,...More
I love the Courtyard Cafe. The food is really fresh and tasty and the court yard ambiance is quaint and refreshing to eat outside. I've been going to Courtyard Cafe for over 10 years and the quality is always consistent.
Excellent food. Staff bent over backwards to accommodate us when it started to rain. Atmosphere pleasant with local chickens hanging out.
There are daily soup, sandwich, and entree specials for lunch. The baked goods are excellent. If you eat inside, beer and wine are available. The courtyard is pleasant. Order at the register, pick up a number, then food is served to you.
Been to Makawao many times but this time found the Courtyard Cafe. Lunch was good, but the mac nut brownie was exceptional - definitely will be there again.
