Our meal was delicious, the decor diner-style but nice. The host and server was hilarious. He's very abrupt and efficient (almost rude), but his cheeky humour came out over time. Clearly not angling for tips, just having fun and doing a great job dealing with a busy restaurant. I have coeliac disease (spelled celiac in the US) so I'm really... More

My husband and I have a lovely meal here one night after hiking all day. We have been to Vietnam and love the cuisine, the soup (Pho) was great here. They cater to vegetarians.

I happened to drop by, my first time. The owner somehow worked out exactly what I would like. It was his off-menu suggestion, spicy ginger tofu, which really hit the spot for me!

We had dinner at this restaurant. Fresh summer rolls, papaya salad, fish lemongrass, and shrimp clay pot. All delicious, but fish lemongrass was a bit underwhelming. Summer rolls and papaya salad were quite fresh and delicious.

You have to order the Steamed Fish (ours was Opakapaka) Special, fabulous tasting and beautifully presented!! We also shared The Buddha Rolls, very tasty with the peanut sauce. We went Friday around 4:30, no wait and we noticed most of the patrons were regulars. Brother Joseph Smith aka Charlie was our server, great fun and good service! Excellent food, decor... More

Really enjoyed our lunch there. Not real easy to find, but it is worth it! It is in Wailuku. We had soup and rice paper wraps.

Since I had eaten here in the past and was very satisfied with the food and the service, I decided to take my daughter visiting from the mainland for dinner. Bad mistake! The location was quite busy (Friday night) but we were seated quickly by Allen. A waiter hurried by and literally dropped our menus on the table. He finally... More

A bit away from the major tourist scenery sites and touted restaurants we found Saigon café to be an authentic Vietnamese restaurant with authentic food and very entertaining service. Having lived in Southern California for many years I would rate the pho as average but the shrimp cane sugar paste lollipops (chao tom) was a very good dish as well... More

Have been here before, the older waiter is very funny and talks up a good show. Had the fried spring rolls (cha gio) and the sliced New York steak with veges and rice. Another person ordered the won ton chow fun soup, seemed to enjoy it. Food was well prepared, but average. Best part was the funny wait staff.

Wow what a great experience. Tried this on a recommendation in a book and they were right. Best Vietnamese food I've ever had. We had the Fresh Summer Rolls for an appetizer and they were so fresh. My husband had the Crispy Noodles with Beef. The beef was very tender and high quality. I had the Fried Spring Rools and... More
