Yes, it's next to the highway and a couple chickens went strolling by. I didn't mind. I had the kalua pig and found it to be very tender and tasty. The staff were friendly and patiently answered all my questions.

I thought it was a tourist type poi factory but was pleasantly surprised that they serve food here. The chicken long rice was broke da mouth GOOD! Had a can of pog to drink and my daughter enjoyed her meal too. The dessert: haupia ice cream and kulolo was to die for. Steady stream of people stopping to pick up... More

I was trepidatious when we pulled up to the Waiahole Poi Factory for two reasons. First - I'd never had poi but I'd heard stories about how awful it was. I was game though, I mean you're on the island, it's like a must do! The second reason was a bit more ominous - the place looked dirty! Now I'll... More

We have been to the poi factory three times now in the last 4 months. The first time was wonderful! We had the Luau Beef stew plate - excellent, and the Sweet Lady of Waiahole - awesome!! The second time our friends got the Kulolo and loved it. This last visit was a bit disappointing. Ordered the Luau Beef stew... More

Disappointed in the squid luau ..too much coconut milk and no flavor. Laulau didn't have enough taro leaves. Lomi salmon average. Too bad a local facility cannot produce delicious food. Maybe visitors might not know the difference.

My wife found this during our circumnavigation trip from Waikiki to the North Shore. Right on the main road. Great authentic Hawaiian food. Very fresh. Courteous staff. Outdoor tables. The Laulau / Kahlua Pig Combo with Poi was awesome. Highly recommended to target this place for lunch on drive-about.

The originality factory is unparalleled to any of the other places at the hotel strip in Waikiki beach. We drove by and our friend who lives in the island recommend we have lunch here to experience the food. I was hesitant at first as I did not check this place out prior to my arrival. I think is best described... More

Low key and legit on offering true Hawaiian Lau Lau. Unpretentious, friendly and delivers the goods. If you want authentic Hawaiian, stop here.

My friend took me here and we ate lunch. I ate kalua pork and lomi salmon. It was very good! I should order bigger size plate.

We happened to come across this place on our way to the zip lining. Since I had never had poi we decided to stop. So for about $2 you can get a small sampling. It's just enough if you've never tried it. They have other menu items. It's a whole in the wall but there were customers. The women who... More
