We stopped here for a quick bite to eat. It was pretty crowded, but mine went quickly. Tiny cute little shop. Food was good and convenient.

Excellent Lobster Rolls!! I had the sampler platter that had all three types of Lobster Rolls. My husband had the full hot lobster roll with butter. All were delicious!! We also enjoyed the clam chowder. We wished we could have gone back another day after...hiking but they closed for the season while we were visiting. Blueberry Soda was good too! All outdoor dining on picnic tables. All were clean. So happy we got to try out this place! It had high ratings and I can certainly see why. Amazing food!!More
So Glad you were able to catch us before our last day; we appreciate your review and would be glad to host you and your husband again. Thanks again
Stopped for a lobster roll and mussels when we were just coming into Bar Harbor. Happened to pick a time that wasn't horribly busy which was a plus! Good food
Lobster Rolls – THIS IS THE SPOT!!!!! Don’t waste your time or money elsewhere. Look at the line – walk up and have a beer while you are waiting (separate window). Get the lobster rolls and be happy!! Yes, they are that good! Yes, the...clam chowder is amazing. The lobster bisque is also wonderful. That’s all I can say!!More
Thanks to TA and reviews I wanted to check this place out. Well, you know you’re in the right place when you are about 15-20 minutes before opening time and a line has already started forming! Once they opened, the line moved quickly and yes,...it was so worth it. The best lobster roll I have ever had. My husband had the clam chowder and it was delicious as well. Definitely worth a stop.More
We stopped here for lunch on the next to last day of the season. Waited in line for about 45 minutes; food was ready in less than 10 minutes. My husband had the grilled cheese panini which he really enjoyed. It came with kettle chips...and pickle. I ordered a gluten-free hot buttered lobster roll, ear of corn and coleslaw. The grilled gluten-free bun was really good. Big lobster pieces served with melted butter. Lobster roll also served with chips and pickle. The corn and coleslaw were both good. My husband got a piece of blueberry pie to go and I had a blueberry soda. Husband said the pie was great. I had enough leftover for another meal. Glad we were able to eat here before they closed for the season.More
Awful experience! Staff is rude and the lobster rolls are average at best. Went out of our way to dine here based on the wonderful reviews but very disappointed.
So sorry to hear you had a bad experience. We strive to be the best we can be and spend countless hours fine-tuning our customer service skills to offer the best service we can. Sorry, you didn't get to witness that expense. We apologize.
If you are planning a trip to Bar Harbor, stop at this place. You will not be disappointed, but you better hurry as they are closing for the season in a couple of weeks (they are only olen from May through October). Lobster Roll Sandwich...(we went with the Classic (cold with a little mayo) as well as Hot (Buttah!) The atmosphere is also amazing.More
My husband and I are from Missouri. We visited Maine 3 years ago and happened upon this great lobster stand along the road side. We loved the lobster rolls so much that we decided to return to Maine in 2022. We have traveled all the...way up to the top of Moosehead Lake, trying lobster all along the way. We decided that none compared to The Traveling Lobster, so we had to come back. This time we met the owner, you won’t find anyone any nicer. There is always a line, but don’t worry it goes fast and lots of places to sit down outside and eat. If you go to Acadia, make sure to stop here. I promise you won’t be sorry.More
The hot roll is the best! And weirdly - the Old Soaker Blueberry soda is a great pairing. Friendly service and fun location.
Would have passed by this place but came highly recommended. Plenty of great outside seating. Great lobster roll (had the hot buttered), ordered small. Was huge! $26 seemed high until I realized that it was a whole lobster already shelled for me! The blueberry pie...a la mode was great and they gave us a ticket to come back after eating so they could serve it to us warm with the ice cream still cold. Sweet. Shared both items and they gave us 2 forks and 2 spoons without asking! Also sweet!More
This was such a fun stop on our weekend trip to Acadia. We were looking for somewhere with authentic Maine Lobster Rolls, and this place was perfect. The price was very reasonable, and the outdoor patio was very nice. Service was fast. We will definitely...be coming back next season!More
The lobster rolls are the best. The lobster bisque is excellent too. My husband and I ate at the Travelin Lobster 4 years ago and returned again this week. The food is still excellent and well worth the 3 hour trip (one way). After one...so so meal and one horrible meal at other restaurants, you can’t imagine how good this food tasted. Well worth every penny. Looking forward to future visits.More
Incredible lobster & cheese panini! Take a jacket if it's cool because you'll be outdoors, though. Hubby had lobster roll but had to finish off mine. The sourdough bread's the best!
We were in Acadia for 5 days and splurged on lobster roll (hot) once. This place deserves its high rating, my lobster was delicious. Next time back we'll stop here again.
