The quality of the food is very good. And the menu is focused with just enough variety. The service is great. It feels like the servers and hostess are long lost relatives. They greet you as if you’re part of their family. The check in...More

This is a friendly, low-key spot with an open kitchen (finishing station, really) and very good service. We had seafood risotto and seafood linguine with tomato-cream sauce. Both were loaded with seafood: little clams, big shrimp, calamari, mussels, and one big scallop. Delicious!

This place was recommended by our hotel bartender and it was a great recommendation. I'm still thinking about the wok crab which is one of the best things I've ever eaten. I highly recommend Betty Lou's but make sure you call for a reservation because...More

North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.
