We needed something for the plane and a simple bagel with lox came packaged with fruit salad and everything to enjoy the meal.

David's is practically an institution in San Francisco. It's primary genre is NY Jewish delicatessen, with corned beef, pastrami, blintzes, etc. The food is solid with large portions. Two couples in our party of six actually shared a sandwich and then added sides. It was more than enough. Me - I eat a whole pastrami on rye with gusto.

This is a traditional deli with a counter for meals, the portions are large and the staff are friendly. I love their shakshuka eggs and I swear they start cooking them as soon as I walk in the door now. Maybe I should try something else :)

Have been wanting to try David's for awhile now, and finally made it in yesterday morning. I tried the Salami omelette and it was incredible! one of the best omelettes I have had in a long time. I would seriously recommend it if you are hungry!

Stopped in for lunch on a Monday and was the only person other than someone picking up. Good Stella on tap and had the corned beef / chopped chicken liver on rye. Chopped liver was VERY good, corned beef nice as well and eating them together in the same sandwich was terrific. Cole slaw tasted fine, good pickle - if... More

We had breakfast one morning at David's. It is a straight-ahead counter and deli. The food is average (but bagels were great). It's relatively expensive. A slightly out of the ordinary (in a good way) experience.

We ate here twice for breakfast during our stay in San Francisco as it was close to our hotel. Pretty standard diner breakfast fare, not outstanding, but certainly not terrible. Staff were not overly friendly, but the were quick and efficient.

I've been to many delicatessens. But none like this. You sit at the counter and it's a unique experience. I ordered the cheese blintzes and they were out of this world. The people who dine there are very friendly. Next time you're in San Francisco check out David's Delicatessen!

A non-descript little place with wonderful food. The Corn beef hash was awesome. Kosher foods abound, and traditional favorites are made like you remember them. The staff were friendly and helpful. This is also a small bakery and deli too. Very casual. Prices were very reasonable.

Good service nice options for those who don't have kosher food much. Much I'll revert back to my other sites for better corner beef hash and coffee
