Excellent food! Not heavy, not spicy. Very good service too. We had the pastelone with pork, it's like a banana lasagna of pork meal and yellow rice.

Small place with friendly staff, great service and super food! And the beer was good too! What more can you ask for?

Talk about a small place with a big punch! This little shop is just exploding with personality and character. One of the top two places we visited all week! In the Haight Street area of San Fran, this little café had great friendly hard working service, amazing diverse options for breakfast and lunch, and just a great vibe throughout. We... More

My godmother is Puerto Rican and her food is always the best to me but I will admit that was really close. Don't tell her I said that. Had brunch with some friends there and the food was so good. Great service and quick, really enjoyed the pork shoulder with rice and beans. If you go to San Fran, please... More

Amazing food and coffee. Made on site. Cornbread is a must. I'm not a big potato fan but I'd eat these everyday - crispy, seasoned. Coffee is superb

It was my first time at Parada 22, it was super busy not too long of a wait for a table. We went around brunch. The servings were huge and the price was decent. The food was really good!

Expending some days of with family in SF, we decided to visit Parada 22 to satisfy the need for some Puertorrican food. The food in essence was bland, no relation to the PR cuisine. The pork was ok, but very light on seasoning. The mofongo with shrimp resembled more a puree or mangu with no taste whatsoever. Service was ok.

One of the stores on Haight St recommended this place. So glad that we visited this restaurant. The food is beautiful and affordable. If you love trying different cuisines you must check this place out.

Four of us went to Parada 22 for dinner. Only one has had Puerto Rican food before. I had mentioned the next time we were in San Francisco I would like to find a Puerto Rican restaurant to try. To my surprise we found one. We were not disappointed. We started off with the sampler as an appetizer. It had... More

I was exploring around the Haight & Ashbury area and stumbled upon this cozy restaurant around lunch time. I stepped in and there was one couple sitting by the window and a lady leaving. It was my first time trying Puerto Rican food so I asked for the sampler plate which included: Pernil asado (Roasted pork marinated with garlic, oregano... More

Staying in Haight-Ashbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Haight-Ashbury
The area surrounding the intersection of Haight and Ashbury streets, “The Haight” still exudes vibes of the 1960s counterculture as a haven for vintage clothes, music, pop posters and body piercing shops. While the Summer of Love ended decades ago, Haight-Ashbury has turned into a melting pot of hippies, hipsters, and professionals. Walking through its streets can still feel like stepping back in time. A must-see neighbourhood for most music fans, it’s easy to see why these streets attracted the likes of the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin. You’ll likely be content in The Haight day or night, just be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.
